Control Protocol

There is a lot that goes into the mold

change as well as the control setup,

and this was simplified by using the

WebOP.

Factory Floor - Machine Automation 1 Stop

Factory Floor - Machine Automation 1 Stop

Old Method

Store mold setups in HMI Loading a new recipe is easy - Use a USB bar scanner plugged directly into the WebOP

to scan a bar code from a plate on the mold.

Simplified Mold Changes

New Method with WebOP

Store mold setups in recipe book To load a new recipe, operator would type in serial number to call up the mold setup

recipe. With this method the operator sometimes typed in the wrong serial number and/or got the molds confused.

Another thing that sold us on the

WebOP was the development

software.

We also wanted the ability to

connect remotely to the HMI.

Factory Floor - Machine Automation 1 Stop

Built-in VNC Server Allows for visualization and control

of the WebOP screen from a remote

PC, tablet, or mobile phone using

industry standard VNC technology.

Many free VNC clients are available

for iOS or Android mobile devices.

Factory Floor - Machine Automation 1 Stop

Smart HMIs for Remote Monitoring and Control

Built-in FTP Server Allows for file transfer to/from remote

WebOP panels with a FTP Client. May

be used to download trend history,

alarm log, recipe files, WebOP project

files. Useful for the integration of

automatic data collection applications.

Another choice the integrator gave us

was on the remote I/O.
