History

The E-Class Coupé was built in the tradition of sporty

and exclusive Mercedes-Benz executive coupés.

While the C 124 series was already dubbed the E-Class

Coupé, the subsequent coupés in the C 208 and C 209

series were positioned distinctively as the CLK-Class.Yet in terms of status and the product itself, they shared

more in common with the E-Class segment.

Mercedes-Benz is taking the concept a step further with

the C 207 series, adding a formidable dose of emotio-

nality to the status and high-quality look and feel. The

new E-Class Coupé thus uniquely combines the exclu-

sivity of the legendary executive coupés (C 114–C 124)

with the sporty, dynamic appeal of the CLK model series

(C 208 and C 209).

Brakes

A technically sophisticated braking system with numerous safety and comfort functions is

used on the E-Class Coupé. It features the following highlights:

the accelerator. Advantage: shorter brake response time reduces stopping distance)

HOLD• (automatic maintenance of brake pressure by fully depressing the brake pedal
