We meet the important challenges of advancing imaging in the multidisciplinary management of cancer by promoting education in oncological imaging and stimulating research in the study of tumour behaviour.

About the Course

We focus on practically orientated education of cancer imaging through interactive teaching and the fostering of active learning. State of the art and novel quantitative and functional imaging techniques will be highlighted.

There will be scientific sessions including case based presentations, dedicated to proffered papers, presenting research in the field of imaging in oncology. There will also be a poster exhibition with scientific and educational posters. Prizes will be awarded to the best papers and posters.

This course is designed for all radiologists, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists and other specialists interested in the diagnosis and management of cancer patients.

The meeting will be held in the Palais de L’Europe, Menton, France.

Menton, known as the “Pearl of France” is on the Côte d’Azur nestled between mountains and the sea. It is only a half an hour drive from Monaco and forty-five minutes from Nice, Cannes & San Remo. The charming medieval old town has lovely squares and small winding streets. The Palais de L’Europe, hotels, restaurants, cafes and beaches are all within walking distance of each other and with its own microclimate they typically enjoy 20 degrees in October.

There will be a welcome drinks reception on Sunday 7th October, hosted by the City of Menton at the Jean Cocteau Museum, complimentary for all those who attend the first day of our meeting.

The course party will be held on Monday 8th October at the Casino, minutes walk from the venue and hotels.

Submission of abstracts (no more than 250 words) for scientific papers, case based presentations and posters are invited.

Abstracts selected for presentation will be published in the Proceedings of the 18th International Cancer Imaging Society meeting, given to all delegates and faculty and available online. A downloadable version of posters will be made available to our membership on the members only area of our website. Authors of selected abstracts will be notified after Friday 6th July 2018.

It will be obligatory for all scientific presenters to be members of ICIS at the time of presentation in Menton. The annual membership fee of 95 and 39 for trainees will be added to the scientific presenters’ fee at registration if

current membership is not in place. Membership will run for one year from date of registration; all standard member benefits will apply.

AccreditationRoyal College of Radiologists – delegates will receive 17 points in total for the three-day course. Sunday 6.5 points, Monday 6.5 points, Tuesday 4 points.

European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) accreditation has been applied for. You will be able to generate your own certificate of attendance once you have completed our daily online feedback form.

EACCME European CME Credits (ECMEC®s) can be converted to AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ by applying to the AMA.

Travel information Air: Nice Côte d’Azur is the closest international airport with direct flights to many European and several intercontinental destinations. The airport is 35km away or a 45 minutes drive from Menton.

Travel from Nice Airport to Menton - By rail: take a taxi to Nice Rail Station, and then a direct train (from 5.50 one way). You may book these tickets at trainline.eu 12 weeks before the date of travel. If you are travelling by train from a different part of France, visit sncf-reseau.fr/en to see an interactive map of the French Railway network. By bus: there are several bus services from the airport to Menton including uk.niceairportxpress.com (from 22 one way). By taxi: fare is approximately 75 one way.
