Dear Educator,

What makes us different? In 1964, Martha E. Rogers, Chairperson of the Department of Nursing Education, New York University, came out with a small red and white volume, soft-covered and a total of 96 pages, titled Reveille in Nursing, published by F. A. Davis. It was a book, she was later to comment, “that scared the pants off a lot of people.1”

Fifty years later, much has changed, but much remains the same. In a world increasingly dominated by consolidation in both publishing and health care, F. A. Davis is still independent and family owned, and Advanced Practice Nurses are still leading the charge toward the patient-centered care that will improve the quality of health care for all of us.

Engaging students. Empowering educators. Please take a moment to review our 2017-2018 catalog. Our titles are written by APNs for APNs…a difference that is important to us and of which we are very proud because it reflects our commitment to listen to you and respond with the resources and support you need to ensure outstanding outcomes for your students.

Our goal is to help your students master the knowledge they need to take them to the next level…and the teaching tools you need to make sure they succeed. You’ll not only find titles that span the APN curriculum, but also a wealth of resources online at DavisPlus that enrich the learning experience for your students and let you spend less time preparing and more time teaching.

Building the future. We share your dedication to the advancement of nursing knowledge and the education of nurses, and recognize the challenging, yet rewarding path advanced practice nurses have embarked on and the very special nature of those who have chosen it.

If we can assist in any way, please call on us.
