OPERATION1.0 SWITCHING THE ALARM AND

IMMOBILISER ONThe alarm and immobiliser are turnedON by momentarily pressing any one ofthe remote control buttons. Whenleaving your motorbike depress theremote control button once. A singletone will be heard. (The motorbike'sindicators will flash once, if the optionalhazard relay had been fitted.)The alarm is now ON and after 30seconds the motorbike is fu l lyprotected. The siren will sound (And theindicators will flash, if this option hadbeen included) for 30 seconds underthe following conditions:

Using stateof the art Microprocessor Technology,this system is highly sophisticated andwill thwart the attempts of the mostdetermined motorcycle thief. Thesystem has been designed to offeryears of trouble free operation. Refer tothe instructions below to familiariseyourself with the operation of thesystem.IMPORTANT NOTICEOn the back page of the owner'smanual is a 5 digit Emergency overridecode number. This is the "IdentityNumber" of your alarm. DO NOTLOOSE IT - at the very least makesure that you record the number as itcan be used to override the alarmand the immobiliser in the event of amalfunction. See 7.0. This number is

Excessive movement of the motorbike(paragraph 3.0)Opening of the protected pannier ordelivery box (only if an optional sensorhad been fitted - paragraph 4.0)Switching the ignition "ON" (paragraph5.0)If the alarm is not switched ON, theimmobiliser will automatically switch on30 seconds after the ignition isswitched off.If the motorbike has not been used fora few days, the microprocessor willswitch off the receiver and switch itselfinto a low power "sleep" mode. This willreduce the already low currentconsumption to a very low level.The alarm and immobiliser will remainON but the triggering of the alarm willbe delayed for 2 minutes, to allow themicroprocessor time to wake up fromany of the alarm trigger inputs andaccept the transmitter's code.

2.0 SWITCHING THE ALARM ANDIMMOBILISER OFF

To switch the alarm and immobiliserOFF press any of the remote controlbuttons. Two tones will be heard. (Theoptional relay will flash twice if thisoption had been included.)After turning your alarm off you haveapproximately 30 seconds in which tostart your motorbike. Failure to do sowill result in the immobiliser arming,indicated by the alarm's siren beepingfor a period when the ignition is turnedoff. To start your motorbike once theimmobiliser has armed, switch theignition on and depress any of theremote control buttons.3.0 SHOCK / TILT SWITCHThis sensor is built into the alarm andcan distinguish between a bump andwhen the motorbike is moved or tilted.When the motorbike is bumped, thesiren will beep for half a second, as a

warning. If the motorbike is moved, orbumped too severely, then the siren willsound, for 30 seconds. (The indicatorswill also flash if this option had beenincluded.)The sensitivity of the sensor is presetand cannot be adjusted and is alsoindependent of the position of themotorbike.4.0 ADDITIONAL SENSOR OPTIONSThis system has a separate alarm inputthat can be used to detect the openingof a pannier or a delivery box. Forfurther information contact yourAutowatch dealer.5.0 ANTI "HOT WIRE" FEATUREThe alarm will sound if the ignition isturned on while the alarm is on or if theignition is "hot-wired".6.0 FALSE ALARM "NUISANCE"

Should a malfunction occur - a faultypannier switch as ah example, thealarm will not sound continuouslythroughout the night, but detect that thecircuit is faulty and limit the number oftimes it sounds to eight cycles.7.0 EMERGENCY DISARM

PROCEDUREIn the event of a malfunction with theRemote control, or the batteries are flatit may be necessary to use theemergency disarm procedure.This may be done by entering the 5digit emergency override code on theback page of the Owner's Manual.NOTE: In order to sat isfy therequirements of the leading insurancecompanies no permanent overridefacility is permissible. This is a "OneEvent" override. You will need to enterthis number every time you wish tocancel the immobiliser.As a comprehensive guide of how to

enter the number, the followingexample shows how the override codenumber "46032" would be entered.1. Turn the ignition on, if the alarm was

on the siren will sound. Wait until thesiren has stopped sounding.

2. Turn the ignition OFF, the siren willstart beeping. Count the number ofbeeps. After the 4th beep, turn theignition on. The siren will stopbeeping. The first digit "4" has beenentered.

3. Turn the ignition OFF, the siren willstart beeping. Count the number ofbeeps. After the 6th beep, turn theignition on. The siren will stopbeeping. The second digit "6" hasbeen entered.

4. Turn the ignition OFF, the siren willstart beeping. Note: That the digitis a "0", wait for 10 beeps beforeturning the ignition on. The sirenwill stop beeping. The third digit "0"

start beeping. Count the number ofbeeps. After the 3rd beep turn theignition on. The siren will stopbeeping. The fourth digit "3" hasbeen entered.

6. Turn the ignition OFF, the siren willstart beeping. Count the number ofbeeps. After the 2nd beep, turn theignition on. The siren will give adouble beep to indicate that the fifthdigit "2" has been entered and thecode is correct. The immobiliser willdisarm.

If an incorrect digit has been entered,just wait for the siren to stop beepingand then try again.

ENTERING THE EMERGENCY OVERRIDE CODERefer to the 5 digit number on the card. Each digit if thenumber must be entered individually as follows:-1. Turn the ignition ON.2. Turrt the ignition OFF. The siren will start to beep.

When it beeps the number of times equal to the firstdigit of the code, switch the ignition ON. The sirenwill stop beeping.

3. Repeat step 2 for each of the digits of your code(Note - if the digit is a "0", wait 10 beeps beforeturning the ignition ON.)

4. After you enter the fifth digit, the siren will give adouble beep to indicate that the immobiliser isdisarmed and that the motorbike can be started.

Should you enter a digit incorrectly, wait until the sirenstops beeping and then simply start entering yournumber again, starting from the first digit of your code.
