Register research activities In LUCRIS you can register research activities, for example conference participation, editorship and awards. These are presented under the heading Activities/

Aktiviteter on your personal page in the Research Portal and on the personal page on the Faculty web. They are also searchable in the Research Portal. It is

optional to register activities but recommended by the Faculty, partly to show the breadth of your research and partly to take advantage of the CV function in

LUCRIS (see previous section of this manual).

There are many different types of research activities to choose from in LUCRIS and it is sometimes difficult to know which one to choose. For common types of

activities we therefore give examples of which ones to choose. There is currently no common practice within the University, so these are only recommen-

dations. Sometimes, you have to start by deciding in which arena the activity belongs, for example related to the academy or business and society or if the main

audience is the general public.

Participation in EU committiees, governmental committiees and alike: Choose Consultancy, expert advice and memberships and then Work for advisory/

policy/evaluation group or panel (public/government/UN/EU etc). Choose relevant role.

Membership in an organization, association or alike: If you have been elected or appointed as a member choose under Other. Or choose to register the

membership under Consultancy, expert advice and memberships —> Member of board/committee/council etc.

Opponent: Choose Examination and supervision —> External Reviewer of PhD thesis/Opponent. The role Discussant/Opponent. For LU assignment, add LU/an

LU department as an external organization.

Examining committee: Choose Examination and supervision —-> Examination. The role Examiner/Examinator. For LU assignment, add LU/an LU department

as an external organization.

Conference participation: Remember to select your role at the conference. You can only choose one so describe multiple roles in the description. If your pa-

per has been published, register is as a research output and connect it to the conference activity.

Editorship and peer-review: Choose from the subcategories under Publication peer-review and editorial work. The default role is always peer-reviewer, so

change that if you are for example editor—even if the category per se says editor.

Supervision: Choose Examination and supervision —> Supervision. It is you, the supervisor, that fill in information about your supervision assignments. Inform-

ation about the student can be added, but it is optional.

Granted research grants: At the moment it is not possible to register research applications in LUCRIS. Instead, you register your project and connect it to the

contract.
