The PYR-2021 is an advanced digital motion sensor used for Intrusion Detection. The PYR-2021 has all the optical technology used in the “PIRfect” detector series at an economical price.This wired Passive Infra-Red Motion Detector (PIR) compatible with the Rosslare’s Aura P6 and Aura P16 series of wired home security control panels and can be installed with almost any third-party control panel.Inside is a high quality German made Pyro-Electric infra-red energy sensor, an advanced FLASH nano-watt microcontroller, A to D signal analysis with dynamic temperature compensation.PYR-2021 features hardware and firmware for LED walk test, jumpers for LED, Tamper (Back), APS (Auto Power Saver), and Pulse Counting (1 or 2 Pulses).The advanced optics, provides for a wide angle, corridor and curtain in one Lens, with LookDown (Creep Zones) and unique curtain filter.The modern design guarantees for an easy installation, and year round performance in high style, with soft curves and low profile mounting.

(Set Jumper - J1)The Pulse count is selectable by means of a Jumper inside the PYR-2021 which can be fitted to select Low Sensitivity or Removed to select High Sensitivity.Jumper 1 Fitted = Low Sensitivity; Pulse Counting = 2 for harsh environment.Jumper 1 Not Fitted = High Sensitivity; Pulse Counting = 1 for a faster catch performance.

There is a front (Cover) and Back (Wall) tamper detection mechanism as standard fitted in every sensor, The Cover tamper is activated by default, and the Wall tamper can be activated by snipping a wire jumper on the main board.
For corner mounting with Back Tamper detection activated, the mounting bracket shown above is required to be mounted on the wall first before the unit is mounted.
Based on analog and digital ASIC technology, the system controls the eye (pyro) sensor of the PIR to form a protection pattern.
When an intruder crosses the pattern made by the fresnel lens, the pyro will detect the infrared energy change and activate the transmission of the sensor.Sensitivity: t= 1.1 C @ 0.9 m/sec
( t= 2 F @ 3 ft/sec)For a correct installation, the proper selection of fresnel lens is important to maximize the likeliness that an intruder crosses the pattern.
PYR-2021 is revolutionary using an advanced FLASH memory, nanowatt technology micro controller architecture, with 10-Bit analog to digital signal analysis. Alarm detection is made if an adult person crosses the protection pattern covered by an advanced spherical special lens with 34 independent Infra-red energy detection zones.Look-Down (Creep Zones)When an intruder crosses the pattern made by the fresnel lens, the pyro will detect the infrared energy change and activate the transmission of the sensor.Sensitivity: t= 1.1 C @ 0.9 m/sec

Look Down Mirror: This mirror is mounted onto the bottom housing fitted standard in all units. Remove this Mirror to disable the lookdown zones.Curtain Mask: This is a plastic piece that is fitted under the lens, masking all of the side zones and enabling only the curtain zones to be activated. In order for all the zones to be enabled, install without the curtain mask.Jumpers: 4 Jumpers for all the settable options are included with the unit, which enables the installer to select any mode, right out of the box.

The spherical lens is divided into several optical groups of lenslets.
1) Look-Down (Creep) Zones which detect motion directly under the sensor. These can be deactivated by either removing the Mirror (Default Fitted).
2) Long Range FrontLenslets can detect up to 18 meters in front of the PIR. Also these can be used as curtain lens when fitted with the curtain MASK.
3) Wide angle lensletswhich detect a 140 degree view around the center of the sensor.
