Advanced CNC Milling ProgrammeA four-day course exploiting the use of CAD/CAM for 3D CNC milling processes. Explore advanced cutting strategies employed by CAM systems. This is a practical “hands on” course with machining & computer activities.
Course aimsThis course enables the candidate to gain an understanding of the principles employed in 3D CNC milling techniques using CAD/CAM software:
• Milling for mould tools 3-axis milling
• Milling Mould 5-Axis for multi-axis milling
• The process for milling complex surfaces
• The process for programming a mill-turn part
You will gain an understanding of different cutting strategies used in the latest CAM software suites.
Who should attend The course is aimed at candidates who have a good basic understanding of CNC milling operations and a basic understanding of CAD packages.
Candidates will also have knowledge of G-coding and programming using Canned Cycles, they should have the desire to up-skill and expand their present abilities to meet future demands.
Course cost £500
