Workloads have shifted from desktops to the cloud, and internet is now the backbone of business operations. As a result, internet access is mission-critical to workflows and downtime is synonymous with revenue loss. SMBs are embracing internet-based tools to boost productivity and reduce operational costs. Microsoft and Google, for instance, offer cloud-based platforms that give employees remote access to Office 365, Google Docs, and video-based collaboration tools like Skype and Google Hangouts — all of which require high-speed, reliable internet access. Even cloud- based printers are tapping into internet capacity. And if the cloud isn’t eating away at corporate bandwidth, mobile devices are.
