Currently, I do not have every time slot filled in to man (or, woman, rather) the bounce houses or work the craft table. I know many of you are working a booth with your small group, but for those of you who are not currently attending a small group or are planning on being there the entire day - would you consider giving an hour of your time to one of these events? Sign-ups are out on the Family Fun Day table in the hallway or contact me, Hannah to let me know you can help. [email protected] or 817-468-8484. Please note: The bounce houses need adult supervision. If we dont have enough adults signed up to help with the bounce houses, we may not have the bounce houses at the event. Trunk-or-Treat: This year Trunk-or-Treat will be on Halloween, Tuesday Oct. 31st from 6-8pm. In addition to needing help with food, I will also need volunteers to help make cotton candy, run the cake walk, and operate some new carnival games I am in the works of having made. Volunteer sign-ups are on the candy donation table in the annex. There is a donation spot in the kitchen for hot dogs, buns, pre- packaged chips & cookies, and drinks. Next time you go to the grocery store would you mind grabbing one of these items to contribute? I also would greatly appreciate cupcake donations for the cake walk and someone to help cook hotdogs on the day of. If you are able to help with either of those, please shoot me a separate e-mail. I am also in need of empty 2 gallon soda bottles for a game. Christmas Choir Practice: This year the kids will be performing Brentwood Benson's "Red Letter Christmas" on Christmas Eve. Rehearsal's will take place every Wednesday during our normal Wacky Wednesday program. Other Upcoming Dates: Confirmation field trip to the Anglican church - Nov. 5th . For more details, contact Hannah Smith. SJA Missions Candy Donations: For Trunk or Treat, please bring your own candy to hand out that evening. However, we are asking for donations of candy for a back-up supply to keep people from running out of treats then driving away through the crowds of kiddos. Please have all candy turned in to a box in the hallway by Sunday, October 29th. Food Donations: We are providing hot dogs and chips for our trick or treaters. Please donate hot dog buns, frankfurters, individually wrapped cookies, drinks (such as sodas, water or pouch drinks, and/or individual chips. Donate by this Sunday, Oct. 22. Place your donations in the kitchen in the area labeled for Trunk or Treat. Wanted: 2 Liter Soda Bottles Please donate empty 2 liter soda bottles for a game the kids will be playing. Donations can be placed in the hallway on the candy table. Please rinse out bottles before donating. Family Fun Day is this Saturday and set up starts at 10:00 am. Remember to bring shade. If you didnt get to sign up but still want to help set up, be here at 10:00 am. Meet at SJA parking lot at 9:00 a.m.. Be there around 11:00. Start packing at 12:00 or 12:30. Three lines, 30-35 people per shift. Shifts are 12:30-1:30, 1:30-2:30 and 2:30-4:00 or 5:00. Packing 20,000- 25,000 meals. Sunday, November 12th - Arborlawn United Methodist Church - Ft. Worth, TX Meet at SJA parking lot at 7:30 a.m. Be at Arborlawn at 8:00 a.m. and pack until 12:00.
