Intermediate ConversationDevelop your conversational and communication skills through role-play, discussion of French media and other speaking activities adapted to your level. Though the emphasis is on conversation, grammar is an important component of these classes.

Private and Online LessonsLearn what you want, when you want with one-on-one French language instruction. Study with a book, or focus on conversation skills and work with video and audio material. Courses are available in sessions of 60 or 90 minutes. You can also buy a 10-session pass for either session length and save! Can’t make it to the Center for classes? Try our new e-learning option!

duration: 60 or 90 minutes per lesson. cost: $60/hour | $540 for a 10-lesson pass || $90/1.5 hours | $810 for a 10-lesson passonline pricing: $55 per hour or $495 if you buy a 10-lesson pass.

Accelerated Learning ProgramIf you want to learn French fast, this program is for you! This accelerated learning option will allow you to complete a ten-week course in just five weeks! Check inside for all our current accelerated program offerings.

Advance registration and placement tests are required for these programs.

Proficiency ExamsThe French Cultural Center offers several exams that confer official qualifications of French language proficiency, which can be used for school applications, immigration and more. Contact the Education Department or visit our website for details. See below for upcoming dates of specific exams.

Exam Description Exam Dates

The DELF (Diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française) and the DALF (Diplôme Approfondi en Langue Française) are official qualifications awarded by the French Ministry of Education to certify the competency of candidates in the French language. This diploma is valid for life. Visit our website for pricing based on exam levels.

June 11 - 15Register by: May 28

The TEF (Test d’Évaluation de Français) assesses French comprehension and expression skills. Each TEF candidate is provided with a detailed evaluation of his/her linguistic level. For students with special circumstances, we also offer the e.tef.

The DAEFLE (Diplôme d’Aptitude à l’Enseignement de Français Langue Étrangère) allows native french speakers to qualify for a distance education training program. We offer the Preliminary Access Test, which evaluates students’ readiness to obtain the DAEFLE.

Monthly WorkshopsWe offer a variety of monthly workshops facilitated by a member of our teaching staff and conducted entirely in French. Please visit our website for up-to-date information about workshop dates and topics.

Refunds are not issued except in the case of class cancellation by the Education Department due to low enrollment (minimum enrollment is four students per class for a core language class and three students per class for a specialized or conversation class). If a class closes due to low enrollment, our administrator will contact you two days prior to the first course to offer several options. No course changes will be permitted after the first full week of classes. Books are non-refundable once they have been picked up. Purchased lessons and credits are valid for seven years.
