The Oval tool creates circular shapes such as ovals and circles. Using oval tool we can draw
complete oval shape, Doughnuts, pieces of Doughnuts, Pie shapes The oval tool is identified by the
symbol. The only difference between oval and Oval Primitive tool is that we can modify the oval
options after drawing in case of oval primitive which is not possible in oval tool.

8 Oval options
a. Start Angle/End Angle The angle of the start
point and end point of the
oval. Using these
controls, you can easily
modify the shape of ovals
and circles.
b. Inner Radius An inner radius (or oval) within the oval. You can either enter a numeric value for the inner radius in the box or click the slider and interactively adjust the size of the inner radius. You can enter values from 0 to 99
c.
Close Path Determines whether the
path is closed or open
.Specifying an inner
radius and path is closed
results to 2 ovals ,one
inside the other. If we
specify an open path, no
fill is applied to the
resulting shape, only the
stroke is drawn. Close
Path is selected by
default.

The PolyStar Tool is used to draw a Polygon or a Star with defined sides and defined size. The
Poly Star Tool is identified by the symbol as shown below
PolyStar tool allows you to easily create complex vector shapes. You can use this tool to create
polygons and stars with up to 32 sides. Choose between creating a polygon or a star. Both
styles have characteristics that can be adjusted in the Property Inspector before you draw the
shape. Both the polygon and star style can have up to 32 sides, with the star style having an
additional star point size that can be set. Experiment with several options to get the kind of
shape you want.

We have discussed about the Stroke, style, and cap and join in the other tools. The same
features exist with this tool.
We shall be discussing the options
Style: - This defines the style of the tool that whether the style is polygon/star.
No Of sides: - This defines the total number of sides of a polygon or star.
Star point size: - These segments are called its edges or sides, and the points where two edges
meet are the polygon's vertices (singular: vertex) or corners. The interior of the polygon is
sometimes called its body. An n-gon is a polygon with n sides; for example, a triangle is a 3-
gon.
