Students who obtain an Administrative Office Technology degree at FDTC will have attained knowledge and skills in each of the

following areas. These are the student learning outcomes for the program.

Analysis of Results:

Formative: 92 % of students scored a 70 or higher on the Chapter 19 quiz. Only one student scored less

than a 70 on the quiz.

Summative: 85 % of students scored a 70 or higher on Unit Test I. Only two students scored less than a 70

on the unit test: 67 and 63.

Strength in student performances: A very high percentage of the students did well on the quiz which

then correlated with a slightly lower but high percentage of students who did well on the unit test. The

exercises for this section of the course for which these assessments were based did a good job of building

the students' skills with the subject matter.

Weaknesses in student performances: None.

Analysis of Results:

Formative: 77 % of students scored a 70 or higher on the Chapter 21 quiz. Only three students scored less

than a 70 on the quiz. Two of these missed the assignment altogether.

Summative: 85 % of students scored a 70 or higher on Unit Test2. Only two students scored less than a 70

( on the test. One of the students stopped doing any work.

Strength in student performances: A high percentage of the students did well on the quiz which then

correlated with a high percentage of students who did well on the unit test. The exercises for this section

of the course for which these assessments were based did a good job of building the students' skills with

the subject matter.

Weaknesses in student performances: None.

Analysis of Results:

Formative: 100% of the students scored a 70 or higher on the Unit 12 Assignment.

Summative: 93% of students scored a 70 or higher on the Unit Project. Only one student scored lower than a 70: 63 .

Strength in student performances: The unit 12 assignment is a building block for the unit project. Because the students were successful with the assignment (as well as the other units in the group), student performance with the project was also very good.

Weaknesses in student performances: None.
