What is the criteria needed to be in this training? ʫ Baltimore City/County Resident, preferred ages 18-35 with barriers to employment ʫ High School Diploma or GED (Must be documented) ʫ Minimum 10th grade Reading & 8th grade Math as determined by TABE ʫ Ability to aend training Monday-Friday from 9am-3pm for 7 weeks & 9am-4pm for 2 weeks at CCBC, Owings Mills campus ʫ Ability to pass a drug screen ʫ Background check consistent with Anchor Institutions hiring practices for targeted positions ʫ Basic computer skills with experience in Microsoſt Office ʫ Strong communication skills (wrien and oral) ʫ Previous clerical or administrative experience a plus 3. Who are the Anchor Institutions? ʫ Johns Hopkins Health System ʫ Towson University ʫ University of MD Medical Center ʫ Mercy ʫ Morgan State University ʫ University of Maryland Baltimore 5. What will we be trained in? ʫ Advanced Soſt Skills and Financial Literacy ʫ Microsoſt Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) ʫ Office Administrative Skills ʫ (Professional Administrative Certificate of Excellence) 6. Will all classes be held at Humanim? No. You will aend CCBC (Community College of Baltimore County) for 2 weeks for your Microsoſt Office training. 2. What is the criteria needed to be in thistraining?

ʫ Baltimore City/County Resident, preferred ages 18-35 withbarriers to employment

7. What certification do we receive upon completion of the training?PARTICIPANTS WILL RECEIVE TWO (2) NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED CERTIFICATIONS FOR FREE:

ʫ Microsoft Office Specialist (must pass Microsoft Office exam) ʫ Professional Administrative Certificate of Excellence (PACE) ʫ Participants will also receive approx. 97 continuing education credits, 92 will be used for the PACE certificate from The American Society of Administrative Professionals (ASAP)

8. What are your expectations of me once I am a part of the training? ʫ Be on time (which is 15 minutes early) ʫ Attendance is mandatory in order to receive certification ʫ Adhere to training schedules ʫ Daily Dress Code is business casual (no jeans/sweats/leggings/shorts/tank tops) ʫ Bring required materials (pen, notebook, snacks/lunch, face mask, and hand sanitizer) ʫ Cell phones OFF! ʫ A Positive Attitude! ʫ Open communication (in person, email, text, or phone)

9. Do you have a Case Manager?Yes, we have a case manager who will interview you upon passing the TABE test. The CM will also have you fill out all paperwork, register you for the training, as well as oversee your background check and drug test. The CM will also be the person whom you will defer to if there are any personal issue i.e. transportation, homelessness, food, etc.

10. What other support is available?We have a Senior Job Coach who will assist you with your resumes, cover letters, thank you letters, and interview coaching. She is also the liaison between you and the anchor institutions when applying for jobs.

11. When does the next training start?Our next cohort starts November 2nd – January 8th 2021
