    • Maintenanceofthisproductshouldbeimplementedinamaintenanceserviceshopwherenecessitytoolsandenvironmentconditionareprovided.Therequiredenvironmentalconditionisthattheambienttemperatureshouldbe5to40°C(themaximumrelativehumidityis80%fortemperature5to31°C,anddecreasinglinearlyto50%relativehumidityat40°C).

    2. Operation by Display unit

    2.1 Basic Operating ProceduresTheparametersettingscanbechangedbyusingthreeIR(infra-red)switches;[SET],[SHIFT]and[▼]switchesonthedisplay.ThethreeIRswitchesenabletheusertosetparametersfromtheoutsideoftheglassofthedisplaycover.ThissectionprovidesdescriptionsofbasicparameterconfigurationonthedisplayandoperationproceduresoftheIRswitches.ThisproductcanbealsooperatedbyusingthededicatedhandheldterminalortheFieldMate(VersatileDeviceManagementWizard).Fordetailsaboutthesettingprocedure,refertoChapter4.

    WARNING

    Besuretoenablethewriteprotectfunctiontopreventparametersfrombeingoverwrittenafterfinishingparametersetting.Inrarecases,theIRswitchesmayrespondunexpectedlytowaterdropsorextraneoussubstancesstickingonthesurfaceofthedisplaypanelduetocharacteristicsoftheoperatingprinciples.Thepossibilityofmalfunctionarisesafterrainorcleaningneartheplacewheretheflowmeterisinstalled.Turningonandofftheflashlight,etc.towardstheIRswitchmayalsobethecauseofthemalfunction.RefertotheInstallationManualforthehardwarewriteprotectfunction,andSection4.14forthesoftwarewriteprotectfunction.
