CHAPTER 3MEETING : On July 17, a very special meeting of the Chapter was held at Gem Public School. Dr. Harinder Singh Bedi, eminent Cardiologist and a Limca Book of record holder, from Ivy Hospital, delivered a talk on ‘SMART HEART’. He made the talk lively by having interaction with the audience, which was very large more than 60. Dr. Dimpy assisted him in the conduct of talk. A Quiz on Heart was held, where 7 prizes were given to the winners. Dr. Bedi, himself sponsored the prizes. Songs of Sawan ka Mahina were sung. Anchor was Pali. Present on the occasion were Mr. H. S. Mand and Mrs & Mr. G. S. Chhina. 11 Birthdays babes were presented with gifts and songs wishing them all the best. Courtesy Dr. Dimpy from Ivy Hospital. A king size cake was cut among carols.CHHINA RE-MARRIES: Action replay of the wedding ceremony of G. S. Chhina & Kulwinder Kaur of 50 years of togetherness, was theatrically re-enacted. The couple not only performed the ‘Jai Mala’ ceremony but also hugged each other and cut the wedding cake. The Ladkawalas and Ladkiwalas sang the marital songs, sending the audience into guffaws of laughter. The memorable event was conducted by Principal Chaudhary, who acted as Pastor and declared the couple as man and wife. A mischief, but an enjoyable one. ROSE GARDEN LOVER’S FORUM : For better care and upkeep of the Rose Garden, 3B1, members of Chapter have formed a Forum & placed two Notice Boards in the garden entry points. A liaison is maintained between the corporation and the members. A lot of work has been done and much is in the pipeline e.g. cleaning of fountain, refilling of fresh water etc. Installation of multipurpose Gym in one corner has been approved by the corporation. The morning walkers are appreciating the work of the Chapter.

Letter to Editor Prin. S Choudhry has touched the very basic nature of the humanbeing of his flickering mind, which changes in a fraction of the time.. his article can be summarized in the following words.. *man Is Essentially A Fool. He Wants Cool When It Is Hot And He Wants Hot When It Is Cool*. Importance of Dr. Somal's article seems good one, when he says, A mother always does everything for whole of the FAMILY selflessly. Mr Editor has discussed about LPG Cremation and a new idea from a NAGPUR NGO, Which can be followed, If the use of mobile is not good in some cases, there are hundreds of benefits of its use. Other articles are good but NISHABD by Mandeep Kaur is marvelous (hats Off To The Writer).GULSHAN NAYYAR LM 1857 MOB 9815976298

NEWS OF INTERESTGoogle Maps Rolls Out ‘Stay Safer’ Feature

Google has now rolled out the ‘Stay Safer' feature in India. This feature essentially looks to safeguard people while travelling through public transport. It will alert users when taxis, auto-rickshaws, and other public transport vehicles go off-route. The live status of your route will also be shared with friends and family.

Medical glue to replace stitchesResearchers at the Technion–Israel Institute of Technology have developed a glue gun to put the human body back together when it has been seriously injured. The pins and stitches currently used to treat serious injuries come with drawbacks: They can be painful, they leave scars, they require high skill from the doctor, and they sometimes have to be removed after the tissues heal. Suture on the intestine, lungs or blood vessels often leak and therefore require a sealant.
