The sun shone brightly on the joyful children playing in the park. Contented mums relaxed in small groups after clearing the debris left after the picnics – squashed tomatoes, greasy crisp packets, crumbled biscuits and lemonade, now gone flat. Somewhere a carefree blackbird sang delightedly.
