  • Detective Dog was having a bad week. Monday started out to be an excellent day. The police station welcomed some courageous teddy bears to the force.

To make them feel at home, Detective Dog made an awesome cake. It had a

unique flavor that everyone loved! Everyone, that is, but the bears, which made Detective Dog sad. All the time he spent adding elegant frosting was

    wasted.

The bears didnt even take one tiny bite. Perhaps they would have eaten more if he had made a healthy treat instead. Detective Dog had a plan and woke in

the early morning to get started on it. He cut up some yummy fruit and brought it to the station.

As time passed, Detective Dog grew anxious. He checked in the kitchen and found the rotten fruit untouched. A friend came by and gave Detective Dog

    some encouraging words.

The adorable bears had an allergy to the fruit, Detective Dog decided. It was

late night before Detective Dog found the recipe he was looking for. Detective

Dog woke in the morning, baked, and brought some warm bread to the station to share. He was certain the aromatic smell coming from the kitchen

would persuade the teddy bears to have a bite. Before he went home,

Detective Dog went to the kitchen to check on the yellow bread. It was stale!

Detective Dog wondered if the teddy bears were feeling sick. Why else would

they refuse to eat his tasty food? Their behavior was so unusual. He went home and made his famous soup. He added fresh vegetables to cure the bears.

When he took it to the station, he expected to check back and find an empty

bowl. Instead, every delicious drop was still in the pot.

Detective Dog Welcomes Teddy Bears to the Police Force
