This is the age of LED.

LED screens are transforming the world we live in. No longer the preserve of sports stadia and concerts, the technology has effortlessly made the leap from stadia to high street, from festival to showroom. High impact, vivid, moving imagery is conquering shopping malls, billboards, store fronts and city centres.

In a world of increasingly insular technologies, LED promotes a shared experience, delivering true mass-audience communication. Moments of joy and cultural significance can be shared by thousands, local communities brought together in a single space and voice.

Next generation LEDs bring vivid, crisp pictures like never before, with sharper resolution and increased flexibility, allowing the technology to be used in ever more creative applications.

Promotional space can be shared by multiple brands, with bright, vivid, moving imagery helping to achieve unrivalled stand-out. And content delivered globally in the blink of an eye via high speed fibre optic connections.

PedigreeLED is what we do every minute of every day. It’s carved into our DNA, around which every part of the ADI business offering is built. As well as providing permanent installations, we operate one of the world’s largest rental fleets of over 25 mobile LED screens, supplying some of the world’s leading events – such as the Royal Wedding in Hyde Park, The Grand National and The London Marathon – and global brands such as T-Mobile and Nintendo.

These relationships are founded on ADI’s exceptional levels of service and customer care. An LED screen installation is only the start of our relationship with our customers - just as important is the service and support we give them over the coming years, helping them to extract the maximum value throughout the lifetime of their investment.

The success of this philosophy is evident by the length of these relationships. Many of our longstanding customers have been with us for over a decade, choosing to retain our services for their second or even third generation screens.

Many companies now offer LED screens but few can match ADI’s pedigree. A true market innovator, ADI were there right at the start, installing some of the UK’s first LED screens and able to draw on over 15 years of market experience in every one of our installations.

Page 7: ADI Overview LED Brochure

Quality

All of ADI’s products are built using premium, bespoke components, backed by an assured quality of service. Our screens are built to a price, but only once the quality has met the stringent criteria of a product we’d be proud to carry the adi.tv logo. Like everything in life, there are always less expensive solutions available, but a lower initial cost doesn’t always translate to better lifetime value. A quality product brings better reliability and a longer lifespan, and all ADI installations come with a full maintenance plan and an experienced support team to service your products.

Of course, you have the added assurance of ADI’s long history in LED stretching back into the last century. That experience and knowledge is built into each and every one of our installations, bringing with it the reassurance of a strong and established brand to service your investment throughout its lifetime.

We don’t aspire to be the cheapest.

What better testament to the quality of our product than we’ve founded the UK’s leading events rental business on it? Every one of ADI’s 25 rental LED trucks – which combined do over 3,000 days of operation each year – carries ADI’s proprietary LED screens.

They deliver full and detailed project planning, management and fulfilment, and are able to advise on every aspect of the build, from structural decisions to final finish materials.

Creative Thinking

In fact, the screen is merely the canvas on which you paint. Of equal importance is what you broadcast on it, so at ADI we offer a wide and unique range of services and hardware enabling us to build a solution to suit your long-term needs.

This encompasses far more than installation; ADI’s extensive suite of in-house services have grown organically to respond to the needs of our customers and provide you with a complete creative solution.

We operate our own broadcast production house within the business, offering original bespoke channel branding and programme creation.

Our advanced Live Venue content delivery system is amongst the most powerful and flexible available. It offers a truly collaborative content management environment that allows you as much or as little day-to-day control as required.

This flexibility ensures that our programming services can be moulded to suit your project, not only on installation day but also for years to come.

Whilst important, technology should never be the only factor in choosing your LED screen provider.

The PlazaADI’s contract encompasses two major elements, the first being a 21m² screen for the new Plaza area - a 3000m² leisure area that acts as a hub between the mall, cinema, restaurants and the new Events Venue.

With a walkway directly beneath the screen, ADI specified a high resolution 6mm SMD screen ensuring exceptional picture quality from all viewing angles and distances.

The Plaza screen plays a mixture of advertising and entertainment, which Bluewater are able to manage and schedule direct from their management suites using an advanced content delivery system specified and installed by ADI.

The screen looks stunning! The Plaza is proving to be incredibly popular, and the screen forms an important part of the experience for our guests.

Commercial Property giant Lend Lease required a high impact installation as part of the latest renovations to the Bluewater shopping centre in Kent, as Glow, a new state of the art 5,200m² space for events, exhibitions, conferences and live shows opened its doors.

ADI’s ability to provide us with a fully engineered solution – encompassing not only LED screens, but full project management, structural engineering, construction and maintenance – was what made them stand out as the best partner for this project.

The Identifier

The Identifier acts as an attraction and welcome to Glow, with screen content promoting events and the forthcoming schedule of the new events venue. The structure spans both floors of the centre, with the back-to-back portrait 4.15m² 6mm screens visible from customers from either direction.

ADI managed the complete construction and manufacturing process of this landmark feature, controlling the project from structural engineering stage through to final finish and client handover.

Content for both the Identifier and the Plaza screen is managed via a control room hidden behind the Plaza screen, with remote management from Bluewater’s management suite. A powerful yet intuitive system has been specified, allowing for easy switching and scheduling of content and sources.

Just outside the Plaza is another ADI installation – a huge 14m “Identifier” which houses two further high resolution screens.

We were impressed at the speed in which ADI were able to put together a solution. We’re very happy with the screens and reaction has been overwhelmingly positive.

““

The cinema LED screen is installed in Hardman Square, which has been developed to create a public space where people can relax on the landscaped lawns with refreshments from the surrounding bars and restaurants. The screen shows a mixture of news and

current affairs channels and also has an extensive programme of major sporting and cultural events as well as a weekly film night on Thursday evenings.

Due to the success of the first screen, ADI were also asked to equip the new luxury shopping area with a second installation.  The Avenue features a high resolution LED screen and a portrait digital signage solution to advertise local businesses.

SpinningfieldsSpinningfields, an award-winning development in central Manchester, is home to two ADI installations with quite different uses: an open air cinema and promotional retail screens.

ADI’s high impact digital signage solution features two different elements: a 2.4m² portrait window screen facing one area of the mall and a 11m x 0.24m strip along the curved bulkhead enticing customers to the shop’s entrance. The signage shows brand-led content, predominantly for Nike.

The bulkhead signage is built to a custom specification to follow the lines of the bulkhead which also demanded frontal access. Both installations use S line 6 Indoor panels, with a high resolution 6mm pixel pitch meaning the signage is bright and clear whether viewed from 1m or 20m.

Full colour LED has a number of advantages over competing technologies. Firstly, it is incredibly bright, giving exceptional colour and contrast in bright sunlight and maximising standout. It is also incredibly flexible, allowing for completely seamless solutions for unusually sized screens, and easily serviceable.

Following a trial period in Stratford, the system is earmarked to be rolled out into further Sports Direct.com stores and ADI have provided a flexible content delivery system to cope with future expansion. Content is controlled centrally from the company headquarters, ensuring programming is standardised and simple to update and rollout.

Sports Direct.com

ADI have been able to provide us with a high quality product and service, which helps the store to maximise standout in a very competitive retail environment. We hope to continue to roll this solution out across other stores and ADI have specified a content delivery package designed to allow us to easily achieve this.

As the brand’s flagship store, the recently opened Sports Direct.com in Westfield Stratford City centre demanded a shopping experience to make it stand out from the crowd.

As well as a 200-seat theatre, four dance studios, six rehearsal studios, an open air amphitheatre, a TV studio, a radio station, recording studio and a 3D animation room, the cutting edge academy features a 55m² outdoor screen. As befitting a digital arts academy, the screen is in super wide cinematic aspect ratio and ADI have provided a full content control suite allowing for simple remote desktop control of inputs.

The control room is fed via HDMI from various sources in the Academy, which include numerous HD camera links allowing for live broadcast of performances from different areas. The screen forms an important part of the state-of-the-art learning experience and also acts as aplatform to share students’ work with others.

The landscaped area in front allows the screen to be integrated in live performances and also provides a seating space for students to gather and watch.

ADI has delivered a fantastic screen that sits comfortably amid the other state-of-the-art facilities we have at BOA, and being integrated with cameras around the Academy means we use it as often as possible.

ADI screens feature in two locations – in Belfast’s Donegall Square and at Millennium Place in Coventry. Both are 25m² 15mm SMD screens from ADI’s P line range.

As well as broadcasting major sporting and cultural events (such as Wimbledon and the Olympics), each screen is customised to reflect life in its community with a broad range of local content, including events listings, events and partnerships with community, arts & media organisations.

To accommodate this, ADI have installed a fully-featured broadcast suite at each location which enables the screens to be controlled

Located in the heart of London’s West End theatre district, The Prince of Wales Theatre is one of the Capital’s most famous playhouses, with a history that stretches back to the 1880s. For most of the past decade, the theatre has played host to one of the world’s biggest shows – Mamma Mia!

ADI have installed two portrait screens in the front windows on either side of the theatre’s entrance. The 4m² screens use S line high resolution SMD panels, ensuring a vibrant picture which is detailed enough to be viewable from only a few feet away.

Prince of Wales Theatre, London

The screens are used to promote Mamma Mia, and broadcast promotional content, which is looped via a local computer.

The screens replaced an earlier screen installation by another company which had failed only two years in to their lifetime, without any support and maintenance package.

Famed globally for its scale and quality of theatrical productions, the West End is a leading tourist attraction, with fierce competition for the millions of visitors to London each year. The high impact of ADI’s digital signage solution helps to attract the off-the-street customer in an area densely populated with theatres.

Tyger Valley Shopping Centre is one of the 10 largest shopping centres in South Africa. Established 25 years ago, a recent extensive upgrade has seen extensive expansion including The Arena; a new entertainment centre encompassing the food court area.

Central to The Arena is a brand new 31m² High Definition ADI LED screen – South Africa’s largest indoor LED screen. Visible from most of the food outlets, the screen is the focal point of The Arena and – along with additional new audio visual elements –

Based in the southern Cape of the country, ADI South Africa serve the whole of Southern Africa and have quickly established themselves as one of the country’s leading LED screen specialists.

Tyger Valley, South Africaforms an integral part of the promotions, productions, competition and live performances in the purpose built space.

The screen is also used for advertising and for broadcasting major sports events. Built around ADI’s 6mm SMD technology, it provides a true HD resolution experience for customers and has consequently quickly become the area’s premier location for live sports action!

The screen comes with a full two year support and maintenance package and is managed via an ADI-built control system housed in the audio visual control room, allowing Tyger Valley to easily manage content as required.

‘World-class’ is how I would describe the new HD screen installed at Tyger Valley. You have to see it to experience and appreciate the quality of this screen. Combined with the sound installation it has become an immediate focal point of the Arena Food Court. The professional teamwork from ADI has made this project a success.
