• So instance and frequent behaviors and attitudes different from those taken as standard.

• Parents think that children are ‘electric’ or living on the moon.

• The school claim that student who disrupts the class and not paying attention in class.

• The child suffer because it is not going well on test, take all or scolding them is isolated by his colleagues for leaving the play or interferes with his impulsiveness these are some evidence of attention deficit hyperactive disorder.(ADHD)

Attention deficit hyperactive disorder is chronic condition that affects millions of children and often persist into adulthood. ADHD includes a combination of problems such as difficulty sustaining attention, hyperactivity and impulsive behavior.(mayo clinic)

ADHD is one of the most common neurobehavioral disorder of childhood!

A diagnosis of ADHD can be scary, and symptoms can be a challenge for parents and children a like!

Treatment can make a big different, and the majority of children with ADHD grow up to be vibrant, active & successful adults!

ADHD HAS 3 TYPES. 1-INATTENTIVE. 2-HYPERACTIVE. 3-IMPULSIVITY.(COMBINED - HYPERACTIVE & INATTENTIVE).

Symptoms of (inattention).

Be early distracted,miss details,forget things,and frequently switen from one activity to another.

Have difficulty focusing on one thing. Become bored with a task after only a few minutes,unless they

are doing something enjoyable. Have difficulty focusing attention on organizing and completing

task or learning something new. Have completing or turning in homework assignments,oftenlosing

things need to complete tasks or activity. Not seems to listen when spoken too. Day dream, become easily confused and move slowly. Have difficulty processing information as quickly and accurately

others. Struggle to follow instruction.

Fight and squirm in their seats. Talk nonstop. Dash around, touching or playing with anything and everything in

sight. Have trouble sitting during dinner,school,and story time. Be constantly in motion. Have difficulty doing quiet task or activity

Be very impatient.Blurt out inappropriate comments , show their emotions

without restraint , and act without regard for consequences.Have difficulty waiting for things they want or waiting their

turns in games.Often interrupt conversations or others activity.

ADHD BOYS VS GIRLS Boys are more likely to be hyperactive, where as girls

tend to be inattentive. Girls who have trouble paying attention often day

dream, but inattentive boys are more likely to play or field

aimlessly. Boys tend to be less complain with teachers and other adults ,so their behavior is often more conspicuous.

what cause ADHD??? Altered Brain function and Anatomy. brain scans have revealed important different in the structure & brain activity of people with ADHD. Heredity ADHD tends to run in families, about one in four children with ADHD have at least one relative with the disorder. Maternal smoking, drug use & exposure to toxins. pregnant women who smoke are at increased risk of having children with ADHD. Childhood expose to environmental toxins. per school children exposed to certain toxins are at increased risk of developmental behavioral problems. Food activity recent British research indicates a possible link consumption of certain food added like artificial colors or preservatives & increase in activity of ADHD.

what are the complications of children with ADHD???

I. Often struggle in the classroom . which can lead to academic failure & judgement by other children and adults.

II. Tend to have more accident and injuries to all kinds than do children who don’t have disorder.

III.Are more likely to have trouble with interacting with peers and adults.

IV.Are at increased risk of alcohol & drug abuse & other delinquent behavior.

TREATMENTS OF ADHD….Medication- It helps a child with ADHD in their everyday life and may be

valuable part of child’s treatment. * Stimulants * Non stimulantsBehavioral intervention strategies- Can help reduce ADHD effects of relationship and how will they do in their classes. As a Teacher :- * create a routine. * get organized. * avoid distraction. *limit choices. * use goals and rewards.Parent training- Children with ADHD may not respond to the usual parenting practices, so experts recommended parent education.

ADD IN THE CLASSROOM

Tips to share with Teachers for classroom success…

Use a homework folder for parent-teacher communication.

Make assignments clear.Give positive reinforcement.Be sensitive to self esteem issues. Involve the school Counselor or

Psychologist. Incorporate behavioral prompts such as:

visual cues, proximity control & hand gesture.Provide social skill classes and problem

solving session.
