TAC-3000 is a sophisticated equipment. It uses CANbus for inter-modulescommunication and the latest magnetic sensors, 32-bit CPU,wireless and PCtechnology. Hence, TAC-3000 can communicate wirelessly between cranesand preset any information wirelessly through a PC. This TAC-3000 uses a128-bit data encryption which has been incorporated into the software witha USBdongle and the TAC-300032-bit CPUto build a high security measurefor the wireless upload.

TECHNOLOGY

TAC-3000TOWER CRANES ANTI-COLLISION, BOUNDARYAND ZONE PROTECTION SYSTEM

TAC-3000 is an easy-to-install anti-collision, boundary and zone protectioncontrol system for tower cranes in construction sites.

The latest user-friendly design comes with an informativeActiveTFTColourLCDdisplay for anti-collision system. It provides Collision Path Protection forconstruction sites with multiple cranes and Zone Protection from over-flyingrestricted zones.

TAC-3000 is a safety and efficient monitoring system which helps to preventserious and even fatal accidents which can be caused by human error. Hence, with this efficient helping tool, it increases site productivity and a saferoperating environment.

Withstate-of-the-art technology, TAC-3000allows the site safety personnelto monitor and update the settings of the cranes protection wirelessly fromgroundlevel.Forexample, whenjackingup the crane's heightand to add j

additional protection zone, the site safety personnel will only require toupload the new height to the crane from his notebook PCwithout climbing up the tower crane for "re-teaching".This effectively reduces the down-time of the crane's operation which is an important factor for the site management.

Besides the advanced wireless features, TAC-3000has also successfully eliminated the need to perform on-site "teaching" ofcollisionpath. The site safety personnel just need to input the necessary information into his PCand wirelesslyupload the settingsto the cranes from ground level. This data input can be done off-site before the cranes are erected and thereafter can be uploadedonce the cranes are ready for operation.

~I Also,TAC-3000has an exceptionally stable and accurate magnetic angle sensor that is specially designedIU to meet the toughest craneenvironment.Thismagneticanglesensor willaccuratelyfeedbackthe relative

jib position to the system for collision path detection.

.- Furthermore, the LCDdisplay monitor installed in the operator's cabin is able to intelligentlydetect any module failure of its own and also the operation status of the other cranes in the

same group. HoweverTAC-3000is not a fail-safe safety system as the tower crane operationis still in the operator's control.

COLLISION PATH PROTECTION Diagram 1

TAC-3000helpsto detect and anticipatethe riskof hookblockor jib orcounter jib collision when multiple cranes of different or same heightare in use.

ZONE PROTECTION Diagram 2

TAC-3000can determine up to 6 prohibitedzones (8-point coverage each)in which the hook block or jib is not allowed to operate. It prevents thehook blockfrom over-sailing into restricted zones like buildings, highwaysand other public areas. Depending on the height of the protected zone, the jib of the crane willalso be prevented from collidinginto the protectedobjects.

BOUNDARY PROTECTION Diagram 3

Due to the complexity of some sites, TAC-3000 can be preset with aboundary protection area of up to 25 points in which the hook blockcannot operate. With the boundary feature, the user willnot accidentallyoverlook any protected zones surrounding the site since the crane'shook block is always working only within the site.

EARLY WARNING AND CONTROL Diagram 4

When there is any collision risk detected, the system will calculate therelative distance in real-time between potential collisionpaths and sendsignal to the other cranes as well as alerting the operator visually andaudibly. At the same time, it willautomatically decelerate or even stopany crane movements to prevent the collision.

Besides limitingthe movement, the system also provides the users withthe collision information on the LCDmonitor. This includes the possiblecollisiondirection and the identity of the collidingcrane.

FAULT DETECTION

In the event that TAC-3000 detects any of the components faulty, disconnected or tampered with, it will immediately immobilise thecrane to prevent the safety compromised crane from further operation.

ADVANTAGES OF TAC-3000

1. TAC-3000requires only about 1 to 1V2days for a three-crane installation and commissioning.

2. Thanks to the wireless 1 minute uploading feature, TAC-3000 allows the update of crane status almost instantaneously. This is a unique feature that eliminates the need of at least half a day to 1 day to "re-teach" all the cranes in the sameanti-collision control zone in instances like after jacking up one of the crane's working height or when adding morecranes to the same site.

3. TAC-3000wireless upload feature allows the site boundary, crane's position setting and prohibitive zones to be digitisedinto the computer program off-site in the comfort of office environment, thus minimising the commissioning time on site.

4. Apart from easy installation, TAC-3000 requires very minimum maintenance as there is no mechanical contact comparedto the use of mechanical gear coupling to measure the rotation of the crane's swing angle.

5. TAC-3000 also allows all the cranes in the same anti-collision control zone to work autonomously but maintainingreal-time interactive movements control with all the other cranes. In instances like overtime and maintenance work,TAC-3000 allows some cranes not required to operate to power down while allowing the operating cranes to maintainthe anti-collision and zone protection functions. Systems without this capability would require all the cranes to be poweredup in order to maintain their anti-collision function or by by-passing the system for the operating cranes.

6. Unique bypass key empowers site managers the absolute control of the anti-collision system thus preventing unauthorisedbypassing or tampering.

7. TAC-3000is also fitted with lightning surge isolator to protect the electronics equipment from damages by lightning strikes(unless it is a direct hit which will cause some damages, but this will be kept to a minimum).

8. TAC-3000 allows wireless off-site monitoring using a computer with TAC-3000 monitoring software from a distance of up to500 metres line of sight.

9. TAC-3000allows a self-diagnostic test every 2 seconds. Any error detected would be shown on the monitor in front of thecrane operator. He can then inform his supervisor to seek the service personnel's attention immediately.
