Why an Easter Egg Hunt?• Good Friday is a statutory holiday and Easter is

an established North American holiday • Easter egg hunts are common events attended

by families with young children • Positions the homestead as an organization

that gives back to the community • Ability to host the event on-site

What We Did • Held a fundraising Birthday Bake Sale• Partnered with The Brant County Optimist Club • Pitched the event to local media • Created a Facebook page for the event• Posted flyers in St. George, Paris, Brantford, and Hamilton • Secured in-kind donations from local businesses
