Launch the installer, click next and choose the path to install to. 

    Choose the version; this window may only appear on the task so check there if it isn't visible initially. 

  After that, choose an instance of GP to install the Address Validation Module to.  Default is the instance when only one GP is installed

  Choose Install at the confirmation window 

        

Click Finish when complete. 

    Click Close on the remaining windows installer window. 

    

  Now, you must launch GP using the sa login in order to initialize the Address Validation table and menu commands.  Do this by logging into the GP Fabrikam test company (for a demo version) or any other company if using a registered version.   Launching GP will prompt with the following window, choose Yes 

    If you receive this message (and any others like it) then click OK and cancel out of GP.  Relaunch GP by right‐clicking GP Icon and choosing the option to Run as Administrator. 

                 

Login to GP as SA and choose Fabrikam for a trial or any other company for a registered version. 

      Address Validation will add a security role named AV_USER.  A user must have this role assigned in order to use Address Validation.  Go to User Security and assign the AV_USER role to each user as needed. 

  

  After that, the only other step is to Grant the user access to the alternate forms within the Address Validation Module.  Open the Alternate/Modified Forms and Reports Window and grant users access as pictured in the screen shot below.  Make sure the product selected is Address Validation and the Type is Windows.  Then change from Microsoft Dynamics GP to Address Validation as pictured below. 

  Last, you need to enter the DEMO registration key and press the Verify button.  You will be prompted that the key is not valid, however this Key will work as long as you are logged into the Fabrikam, Inc. company  file. 

    Now, login in as one of the users that was setup and test any of the forms that the user was granted address validation access to. TOOLS ‐> SETUP ‐> COMPANY ‐> Register Address Validation   X out of the window after using  the Verify button. 

                                 

USER GUIDE       The Verify Address button will now show up in the toolbar, as pictured in the Customer Maintenance form below.  Simply choose a customer and click the verify address button. 

           

Pressing the verify address button will present a cleaned and verified address to replace the existing customer address. 

                        

In addition, if you were to validate the same address above without having the suite number, then you would be presented with a list like the one pictured below which shows all of the known suites within a multi‐tenant facility. 

                     

APPENDIX: TROUBLE SHOOTING INSTALLATION ISSUES   If you receive an error such as the one pictured below, then you may be replacing an older version of Address Validation and will need to recompile the tables. 

    If that is needed, then use the SQL Maintenance window with the options pictured below, use control key to select all of the tables.  Check all of the options.  Press Process.  Cofirm OK if prompted and wait for completion.  Relaunch GP to verify load errors do not exist.
