Addendum # 01 – The following clarifications are provided based on questions received and must be  added/considered  when  completing  your  submittal:  Acknowledgement  of  receipt  of  this ADDENDUM  is  required  in  the  proposal’s  cover  letter  of  introduction.    Please  clearly  note  the addendum date and number. 

ITEM:  

  ITEM NO. 1 – SECTION 00 11 16, Item 6 – Bid Date The bid date has been extended by two (2) weeks to Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 2:00 PM in order to be able to incorporate technical Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural and Structural specifications into the bid documents.  These specifications will be included in the upcoming Addendum 2.  The location and process for submission of bids remains unchanged. 

   ITEM NO. 2 – ARCHITECTURAL PLAN SHEETS A3.7 & A3.8 Replace ‘Plan Sheets A3.7 and A3.8’ with the attached “Addendum – 1 Plan Sheets A3.7 and A3.8’.  Revisions include the clarification between demolition and replacement of existing ceilings.  ITEM NO. 3 – STRUCTURAL DETAIL SK‐1 Add the attached Structural Detail ‘Addendum – 1 SK‐1’, which clarifies the extension of the parapet wall at the roof. 

.  ITEM NO. 4 – ANSWERS TO SUBMITTED QUESTIONS  QUESTION –During the job walk, it was mentioned that the IT department for the college will remove the computers as needed in the classrooms and server room during construction.  Please confirm that Solano College will be responsible for removing the computer equipment as needed.  ANSWER – A preconstruction walk will be held with the IT department and the successful contractor to establish which computer equipment will need to be temporarily relocated during construction.  All relocation and re‐installation work will be performed by the District’s IT department.

QUESTION –New Rooftop units will be provided with duct smoke detectors.  Duct smoke detectors will need to be interconnected with the existing fire alarm.  Please provide the contact information of the existing fire alarm service provider.  ANSWER – The Fire Alarm Monitoring company is Sac. Valley Alarm.  The contact is Brad Niblinc at (916)452‐1481.  Repairs and technical information on the system are covered by Quality Sound.  The contact is Matt Cooper at (209)948‐2104. 

  

QUESTION –It was mentioned on the job walk that there will be no summer school.  Please confirm there will be no summer school.  ANSWER – Confirmed, although there will be summer school activity in the adjacent Biotech Building, which has a connecting lobby  to the Vacaville Center.  The existing MDF Room will need to remain in operation, with the required level of cooling maintained, throughout the project as it serves both facilities.
