duct shall be installed flush with the bar joists, and the grilles will be duct
mounted on the side of the duct.

A. LOCATIONS, SIZES, CONSTRUCTION, AND ORIENTATION OF THE MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT AND SYSTEMS SHOWN IN THESE DRAWINGS WAS OBTAINED FROM PREVIOUS DESIGN DOCUMENTS AND FIELD OBSERVATIONS. ACTUAL FIELD

I. COORDINATE ALL FLOOR AND ROOF PENETRATIONS WITH STRUCTURAL DRAWINGS.
J. RECTANGULAR AND RIGID ROUND SUPPLY DUCTS TO BE PAINT-LOCK GALVANIZED STEEL WITH INTERIOR LINED INSULATION. MOUNT DIRECTLY BELOW BAR JOISTS USING PRE-MANUFACTURED DUCT HANGERS.
K. RETURN AIR DUCT SHALL BE LINED PAINT-LOCK GALVANIZED STEEL RECTANGULAR DUCT. MOUNT DIRECTLY BELOW BAR JOISTS USING PRE-MANUFACTURED DUCT HANGERS.
L. MATERIALS WITHIN PLENUMS SHALL BE NONCOMBUSTIBLE OR SHALL BE LISTED AND LABELED AS HAVING A FLAME SPREAD INDEX OF NOT MORE THAN 25 AND A SMOKE-DEVELOPED INDEX OF NOT MORE THAN 50 WHEN TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E 84 OR UL 723.
