The college has decided to offer an Add-on Course on tllndian Music and Culture" inassociation with Faculty of Music, DU with effect trom the academic year 2017-2018.Students of Sri Venkateswara College pursuing degree programs in any subject mayapply. Selection will be done on the basis of merit. Certificates shall be awarded bythe Sri Venkateswara College, based on the evaluation test to be held at the end ofthe course.

Number of Seats : 25 (Minimum)

Duration of the Course : August to November, 2017. The classes will be held onSaturdays & holidays.

Fee Structure : Rs. 3500/-.Highlights of the Add-on Course

1. Course jointly offered by Sri Venkateswara College and Faculty of Music &Fine Arts, University of Delhi

2. Topics Covered Include- Indian music, Music forms, Swara, Nada,Sruti,Laya,Mela, Raga, Gamaka, Sangati,Pitch,lntensity, Tala,Timbre,Dhatu,Matu,Graha,Alankar, Basic knowledge of talas, Music notationSystems, Classification and basic information of instruments in Indian Music

3. Lectures by experts from Faculty of Music, DU and other universities.

The Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria, as specified above, may submit theonline Pre Admission Form, paying requisite application fee of Rs 200/- (Rupees TwoHundred) only, for the academic year 2017-2018, available on the college website(www.svc.ac.in) from 25th June, 2017 To 25th July, 2017. The candidates pursuing theAdd-On Course and some other course/s from the University of Delhi /any otherUniversity simultaneously may note that the college does not take any responsibilityfor adjustment of dates for classes/examinations.

Mode of Payment of Application Fee:- The application fee of Rs 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred) onlymay be paid by Credit Card/Debit Card/Net BankinglDemand Draft within the stipulated time.
