Add Custom Embed Codes

Using Embedded Gadget 1. Copy the Embed Code of the item that you want to add to your site (Make sure

to note the Height and Width of the item. You will need this info for step 10)

2. Logon to Google Sites

3. Select the Site that you want to Embed a gadget to.

4. Go to the page that you want to Embed a gadget to.

5. Click on the ‘Edit’ icon in the upper right-‐hand corner.

6. Go to “Insert” in the toolbar. Select “More Gadgets…”

7. In the frame to the left, click on “Featured” and in the search box type in

“Embeded Gadget" and click on the “Embedded Gadget”

8. Click “Select”

9. In the “Embedding Snippet” box, paste the embed code that was copied in step

1.

10. Adjust the Display Size to match the size of the embedded item that was noted in

step 1. Click “OK”

11. Click “Save”

12. Done

If your gadget does not appear at first, try loading the same page using a different browser (Some gadgets are not recognized by certain browsers).

Using HTML Code 1. Copy the Embed Code of the item that you want to add to your site.

3. Select the Site that you want to Embed a gadget to.

4. Go to the page that you want to Embed a gadget to.

5. Click on the ‘Edit’ icon in the upper right-‐hand corner.

6. Click on the <HTML> link in the toolbar

7. Place your cursor at the very bottom of the text box and paste your embed code. Click “Update”.

8. If you get a dialogue box that looks like this, press “OK”

9. Drag and Drop the gadget to position it to your preference (Optional)

10. Select alignment and text wrap (Optional)

11. Click “Save”

12. Done
