First we create a new project

We have 2 ways to pick a MIDI instrument

We can click hereand choose a pre-made

instrument

Or choose one of the instrument in the I/O list

Here I added a Synthesizer ES1& a Distortion

So I chose a nice organ& renamed the track

I also activated the click track

I added a drum track

Even if you chose a pre-madeinstrument you can still

tweak the sound

You can change thecolor of the track by

clicking here

My marker is where I want to record

I can press recordwhen I’m ready

My recording is doneand I can see the piano roll
