Having joined the Kravet family of brands in March 2011, the new Brunschwig & Fils design studio has created a collection that captures the company’s signature bold and colorful French-inspired style. Featured: Les Alizés, a new fabric and trimmings collection, is named for the fabled easterly trade winds found in the tropics and will be available in Brunschwig & Fils showrooms this fall. A documentary French hand printed fabric based on an Indian palampore complements an exotic ikat pattern and Turkish Ottoman Empire designs, all of which were culled from the extensive Brunschwig & Fils archive. The first hand woven natural fabrics were created
centuries ago by artisans using simple, organic tools
and wooden looms. Passed down from generation to
generation, these traditional techniques are the inspi-
ration behind Hartman & Forbes highly authentic and
distinctive Liniedge Collection. The hallmark of the
Liniedge Collection is the loom-finished edge. Each
custom weave is then finished to exact specifications
by master craftsmen in the Pacific Northwest. As a
result, each shade or drapery becomes an original
and enduring work of art.
