The committee has held seven worksessions in its efforts to improve operations of DLC and expand choices for consumers and business owners regarding the County’s liquor stores, privately owned beer and wine stores and restaurants. The Ad Hoc Committee is chaired by Hans Riemer and includes Council President George Leventhal, chair of the Council’s Health and Human Services Committee, and Marc Elrich, chair of the Council’s Public Safety Committee. The public hearing will be held in the Third Floor Hearing Room of the Council Office Building at 100 Maryland Ave. in Rockville and will be televised live by County Cable Montgomery (CCM—Cable Channel 6 on Comcast and RCN, Channel 30 on Verizon). The broadcast also will be streamed at: http://tinyurl.com/khktggw . Residents can sign to speak at the public hearing by calling 240-777-7803 by 10 a.m. on the day of the hearing.
