The theatre was founded in 1958 and the Belgrade Theatre Trust (Coventry) Ltd is a registered charity (number 219163), founded in 1963. As a charity, we rely on the continued support of individuals who share our passion for theatre. All the money given, and that we raise and earn, is not distributed as profit but kept and reinvested in the work that we do. You can help us and become more involved with the Theatre by joining as a Friend.

The Belgrade Theatre is the major arts and cultural facility in Coventry and the only building-based professional producing theatre in the city.
