1. MONTHLY ACTIVITY HIGHLIGHTS
• After approval from VSPC, KMS participated in the Visit USA Committee Germany’s media event in Munich and promoted St. Petersburg / Clearwater to a large number of travel journalists.
• KMS drafted a press release with the title “Fairytale weddings or romantic celebrations on the beach – dreams come true in St. Pete/Clearwater”. We distributed the news release to qualified media contacts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
• KMS continued the preparations of the press trip for Dr. Martin Wein (Freelance
Journalist), who will visit our area in January 2017.
• KMS finalized the preparations of the press trip of Marcel Czack (Golf Magazin), who visited our area in December 2016.
• After approval from VSPC, KMS started preparations of the social media project “Praktikum deines Lebens” (“internship of your life”) that will be promoted by “Urlaubsguru”, one of the the largest travel social media platforms in the German speaking countries.
• KMS published new posts on Facebook several times a week.
• KMS monitored all VSPC media clippings that we received in December 2016
and evaluated them based on different categories.
• KMS wrote the monthly activity report and sent it to VSPC.
2. NEWS RELEASES AND NEWSLETTERS
2.1 NEWS RELEASE
KMS drafted and distributed the following news release: “Fairytale weddings or romantic celebrations on the beach – dreams come true in St. Pete/Clearwater. KMS also distributed the press release via TravMedia in the German speaking countries and provided photos and a video to the media via Dropbox.

KMS started collecting information for the next newsletter for VSPC that will be drafted and distributed in January 2017.
3. MEDIA RELATIONS AND MEDIA LIAISON
Mr. Marcel Czack Golf Magazin
Mr. Czack and his colleague were in Florida in December 2016 in order to feature several golf courses in their publication “Golf Magazin”, which is one of the leading golf magazines in the German speaking countries. In coordination with VSPC, we organized tee times for them as well as an overnight stay at the Innisbrook Salamander Golf Course. After his trip, Mr. Czack thanked for the great organization. He asked for further photos of the golf resort that we immediately sent to him. We offered further assistance with their planned article on our area and we will continue to follow up.

KMS assisted Mr. Bingel with high-resolution photos after we sent him our press release about the wedding ceremonies in St. Pete/Clearwater. We offered further assistance with his expected article and we will stay in contact.

KMS continued the liaison with Mr. Renner, after we supported him with information and high-resolution photos about luxury hotels in St. Pete/Clearwater in November 2016. As a result, we received an article and added it to this month’s media-clipping report.

KMS continued to liaison with Mr. Rudolph who works for the online LGBT magazine “Maenner”. He showed interest in the Epiphany Celebrations in January 2017 and he finally published an article on his website after we assisted him with detailed information that he had requested. We expressed our appreciation for the article and added it to this month’s media clipping report.

KMS continued the communication with Katharina, who reports about St. Pete/Clearwater on her online travel magazine on a regular basis. We sent her our latest information about tourism developments in our area. As a result, she published three articles. We added them to the clipping section of this month’s report and will maintain the contact with her.

KMS continued the liaison with Mr. Frank Stoerbrauck after we supported him with high-resolution photos about the Epiphany Celebration in Tarpon Springs in January 2017. As a result, he published an article about the popular event on the website of the travel magazine. We added the article to this month’s media clipping report and we will keep him updated on all our future tourism developments.

KMS assisted Mr. Wilken with the requested high-resolution photos after he received our December 2016 press release about wedding opportunities in St. Pete/Clearwater. In addition, we received two articles from his magazine highlighting the Christmas specials and the Epiphany Celebration. We thanked for the ongoing positive media coverage and added the articles to this month’s media clipping report.

KMS followed up with Ms. Staiger after we met her at the Visit USA press night in Munich in December 2016. We continued pitching story ideas about St. Pete/Clearwater and we informed her about new tourism developments in our area. We also sent her our press kit and we will continue following up with her.

KMS completed an appointment with Ms. Wittlich at the Visit USA press night in Munich in December 2016. She works for “Focus”, which is one of the leading news magazines in Germany. We pitched St. Pete/Clearwater story ideas and informed her about the destination’s attractions. Furthermore, we gave her our press kit and we will stay in contact with her in order to generate positive media coverage of our destination in the future.

We followed up with our press kit and additional story ideas.

Therefore, we sent him detailed information about interesting architecture spots in our area. Furthermore, we added him to our press mailing list.

Since he was interested in golf and luxury topics, we sent him detailed information and press releases. Furthermore, we added him to our press mailing list.

We will maintain a close contact with him

4. PUBLIC RELATIONS ACTIVITIES
• After approval from VSPC, KMS participated in the Visit USA Committee Germany’s media event in Munich and promoted St. Petersburg / Clearwater to a large number of travel journalists.
• After approval from VSPC, KMS started preparations of the social media project “Praktikum deines Lebens” (“internship of your life”) that will be promoted by “Urlaubsguru”, one of the the largest travel social media platforms in the German speaking countries.
• KMS continued uploading postings and photos on VSPC´s German facebook page several times per week.
• KMS supported several media professionals with high-resolution photos,
specific information on our area and our German VSPC press kit.
• KMS evaluated and categorized all media clippings on VSPC that we received from the media monitoring service.
• KMS completed conference calls with VSPC and the Central European Marketing
Office in order to synchronize our PR and marketing efforts.
• KMS monitored all VSPC media clippings that we received in December 2016 and evaluated them based on different categories.
• KMS wrote the monthly activity report and sent it to VSPC.
4.1 FAM TRIPS
Mr. Daniel Frick Urlaubsguru.at
KMS continued the liaison with Daniel Frick from Urlaubsguru.at, who plans to launch the campaign “Praktikum deines Lebens” (“internship of your life”), in which Marino, a young editor will travel around the world to feature all destinations. In this context, he will publish articles and videos on urlaubsguru.at and on different social media platforms. VSPC will support him with accommodations and activities for one week. The flights will be paid by urlaubsguru.at. Marino will be in our area in May 2017. We will follow up with Mr. Frick and will schedule the exact travel dates.

Dr. Martin Wein Freelance Journalist
Dr. Wein will be on a Florida roundtrip in January 2017 and he intends to visit our area from January 5 – 7, 2017. Besides coming to our destination, he plans to visit Miami, the Florida Keys and Sarasota. Mr. Wein would like to visit Tarpon Springs, VSPC and the Paradise team prepare the itinerary. They will forward it to Mr. Wein.
Mr. Joerg Scharffetter Alles Gute Verlag
Mr. Scharffetter and a photographer will be on a Florida roundtrip in January 2017 in order to feature the state in several magazines. After he planned to visit the west coast in Florida and our area for 2-3 days, he now informed us that he had to postpone his trip. We will continue working with him in order to find new dates for his planned press fam trip.
5. MISCELLANEOUS ACTIVITIES • KMS prepared agendas for fortnightly conference calls, completed the calls with
VSPC and the Central European Marketing Office in order to synchronize our PR and marketing efforts.
• KMS forwarded all requests for marketing and advertising co-operations to the VSPC Central European Marketing Office.
• KMS continued to closely monitor the media landscape in the German speaking countries regarding the Zika virus situation in Florida. Fortunately, the German media did not focus on Florida in this context in December 2016.
