Poet’s Inn is a full‐service restaurant which 

provides “real‐world” experiences to 

Culinary Arts students training for careers as 

chefs, bakers, restaurant managers and 

related food service industry jobs.

Museum of Russian Icons ‐ Clinton MA– The 

museum collects and displays one of the 

world's largest collections of Russian Icons 

and sacred artifacts. Current exhibits: Nuts

United Way’s “Coffee and Causes” at The 

HUNT COMMUNITY – During our monthly 

“Coffee and Causes” talk, we’ll be learning 

how community members can help support 

Nashua’s efforts of inclusion by 

implementing social and emotional learning 

in the school curricula around the city.

Ireland’s Great Famine in Irish American 

History, Milford NH ‐ Drawing from her book 

Ireland's Great Famine in Irish American 

History, Dr. Kelly will discuss the role of the 

Famine in shaping Irish American ethnic 

identity. Focusing on the long‐term impact of 

the episode between the 1840s and 1990s, she 

explores the shadowed landscape of Famine 

legacy and its status in Irish American culture 

today. Cost: Free

Friday, March 27th at 12:30pm

29th Annual Orchid Show and Sale‐

Manchester ‐This event is put on by the New 

Hampshire Orchid Society which is one of the 

largest in New England. It will include a speaker 

program, free guided tours, exhibits, plants, 

supplies, jewelry, artwork and more. Tickets 

can be purchased at the door. Cost: $8.00

Saturday, March 28th at 9:30am

Tour of Ben’s Sugar Shack‐Temple, NH ‐ It will 

soon be sugaring season in the Northeast. The 

early natives of the Northeast and Canada were 

making maple syrup in a way that is not so 

much different from the way it is made today. 

Ben started tapping trees at age 5 and won his 

1st Maple Producers award at 16. Learn about 

the process of turning sap into syrup, try some 

yummy samples and take some home. Lunch in 

Milford.

In the Carlyle– New Hampshire Bald  Eagle 

Recovery   Presented by Chris Martin ‐ This 

program examines the dramatic Bald Eagle 

population recovery in NH and describes 

management efforts and partnerships that have 

helped eagles. Chris Martin has been a raptor 

biologist for NH Audubon for more than 28 

years. His work focuses on recovery of the 

state's endangered and threatened raptors in 

close collaboration with NH Fish & Game.

In the Carlyle –Traveling Vineyard  Wine 

Tasting Event Taste Boutique wines from 

around the world learn about unique wine 

accessories & the wine of the month club!  Our 

Wine Guide will lead us on a complimentary 5 

bottle tour of the world of wine and teach us the 

4 steps to wine tasting, how to properly pair 

food and wine, plus much more!

In the Carlyle‐ Culturally Curious with Jane 

Oneail “Fierce Females in Art” Women have 

long been the subject of art, often depicted as 

nothing more than objects of desire. How do 

images of women change when women 

become the creators? This program examines 

the history of women in art in brief and then 

explores the lives, careers and works of several 

major women artists from the Renaissance to 

the twentieth century, including Artemisia 

Gentileschi and Mary Cassatt.

In the Carlyle –Merrimack Valley  Flute Choir ‐

The MVFC is composed of approximately 15 

amateur flutists from the Nashua/Merrimack 

Valley area.  Their repertoire includes jazz, 

classical, marches, and music composed 

specifically for flute choir. Our instruments 

include piccolo, C flute, alto flute, bass flute, 

and contra bass flute!

In the Carlyle – Honky‐tonk Piano performed by 

Gary Landgren ‐ “The Honky Tonk Piano Man” 

is a nickname that has followed Gary around for 

over twenty years!. It’s a style that includes 

ragtime, swing and early jazz elements all rolled 

into a very informal, yet lively presentation . As 

Landgren entertains, his performances include a 

touch of humor, some history, jokes with the 

audience, and, of course, some exceptional 

music that includes a long list of crowd
