T-YFORMATION Cross angles are NOW possible, if the Team Leader is pulled back (even or recessed), as the T-Y Formation approaches Corners, L-Shaped Intersections, T-Shaped Intersections and Cross Intersections 16. 17. 18. T-Y FORMATION with a Room Entry As the Formation approaches an open door on the right, theTeam Leaderadvises the Formation of the upcoming door and slides over by theRight Cover Officer , preparing to make entry into the room.Any form of entry may be utilized, with theTeam LeaderandRight Cover Officermaking entry while theLeft Cover OfficerandRear Security Officercover long forward and rear. Respectively. 19. T-Y FORMATION with a Room Entry As the Formation proceeds, theLeft Cover Officercan possibly clear some of the room prior to the entry by theTeam Leaderand theRight Cover Officer. Prior to entry, theTeam Leadermay squeeze the shoulder of theRight Cover Officerto signify the start of the entry or theTeam Leadermay advise theRight Cover Officer , On You, signifying that the two (2) man element will commence entry on his movement 20. T-Y FORMATION with a Room Entry As theTeam LeaderandRight Cover Officermake entry into the room, any form of entry (i.e. Buttonhook, Criss-Cross, Hybrid, etc.) may be utilized.ALWAYS REMEMBER, the second Officer through the door should feed off of the movement of the first.TheLeft Cover OfficerandRear Security Officernow share the responsibility of covering long to the front and rear.It is recommended that theyDO NOTstay static in one position, but move side-to-side. 21. T-Y FORMATION with a Room Entry As theTeam LeaderandRight Cover Officerare preparing to exit the room, whichever is nearest to the threshold of the door should announce, Nothing seencoming out, or something to that effect.PLEASE NOTE, it does not matter who exits the door first, what matters most is that the two (2) flowback into the Formation, possibly changing roles and positions.TheLeft Cover OfficerandRear Security Officershould prepare for the re-entry of the two (2) Formation members and slide to their respective positions. 22. T-Y FORMATION with a Room Entry Once theTeam LeaderandRight Cover Officerexit the room, each will immediately begin their respective cross angle responsibilities as the Formation proceeds forward. As the Rear Security Officerslides by the door of the room, he/she should close the door, if the second Officer exiting the room had not done so. 23. T-Y FORMATION with a Room Entry Once theTeam LeaderandRight Cover Officerexit the room, each will immediately begin their respective cross angle responsibilities as the Formation proceeds forward. T-Y FORMATION Opening a Closed Door As the Formation approaches a closed door on the right, theTeam Leaderadvises the Formation of the upcoming door and decision to enter the room. A way, is to slide two (2) Officers of the Formation past the door, with one (1) holding long to the front and the other preparing to open the door. 25. T-Y FORMATION Opening a Closed Door Once the Formation is in place to breach the door (making sure the two(2) Officers who are on either side of the door, are completely out of the doorway, when it opens), theRear Security Officerand theLeft Cover Officer(or whoever has slid to cover long, to the front) should now assume and continue responsibilities of covering their cross-angles.They should also be out of the doorway when it opens. 26. T-Y FORMATION Opening a Closed Door The Officer closet to the door handle or knob should initiate the opening of the door, so as not to be in the line of fire as the door is opened.TheLeft Cover OfficerandRear Security Officernow share the responsibility of covering long to the front and rear.It is recommended that theyDO NOTstay static in one position, but move side-to-side. 27. 28. 29. 30. 31. 32. 33. 34. LShaped Intersection The Formation moves forward, with theLeftandRight Cover Officerscontinually working the Cross Angles and communicating that the Formation is approaching an L-Shaped Intersection to the left Communication with theRear Security Officerof the approaching L-Shaped Intersection to the left is imperative and should be updated regularly, as well as status checks 35. LShaped Intersection The Formation moves forward, with theLeftandRight Cover Officerscontinually working the Cross Angles, and theRight Cover Officerstarting to work the long Cross Angle of the L-Shaped Intersection to the left Communication with theRear Security Officeris imperative and should be updated regularly, as well as status checks 36. LShaped Intersection The Formation holds while theRight Cover Officerworks the long Cross Angle of the L-Shaped Intersection to the left Communication with theRear Security Officeris imperative and should be updated regularly, as well as status checks 37. LShaped Intersection Once nothing is observed in the long Cross Angle of the L-Shaped Intersection to the left, theRight Cover Officercommunicates this to the Formation and the Formation begins to move again, with theRight Cover Officersliding out to the right and theLeft Cover Officerturning the corner and theTeam Leadersliding to the center Communication with theRear Security Officeris imperative and should be updated regularly, as well as status checks 38. 39. 40. TShaped Intersection The Formation holds while theLeftandRight Cover Officerswork their respective long Cross Angles to the left and right, communicating what is observed ( please note, one should check HIGH and the other from KNEELING one at a time ) Once nothing is observed, theTeam Leaderwill advise the Formation to proceed either left or right Communication with theRear Security Officeris imperative and should be updated regularly, as well as status checks TheRear Security Officershould also begin to slide to the opposite side of the direction in which the Formation will proceed 42. TShaped Intersection As the Formation proceeds to the right, theLeft Cover Officernow becomes theRear Security Officer , theRight Cover Officercontinues in the same role, the Team Leader becomes theLeft Cover Officerand the Rear Security Officer becomes the Team Leader LEARN TO FLOW This is just A way, and other movements, to the various positions,can be utilized, as long as the integrity of the Formation is immediate Communication with theRear Security Officeris imperative and should be updated regularly, as well as status checks 43. TShaped Intersection The Formation proceeds in the established direction The newRear Security Officermust move quickly and efficiently across the intersection, while simultaneously covering both intersections Communication with theRear Security Officeris imperative and should be updated regularly, as well as status checks 44. 45. CrossShaped Intersection The Formation proceeds through the Cross-Shaped Intersection while theLeftandRight Cover Officersrotate and cover their movement across the intersection, theTeam Leaderwill continue to cover long Communication with theRear Security Officeris imperative and should be updated regularly, as well as status checks 50. CrossShaped Intersection The Formation proceeds through the Cross-Shaped Intersection and resumes their respective Cross Angle responsibilities TheRear Security Officermust move quickly and efficiently across the Cross-Shaped Intersection, while simultaneously covering the left, right and rearCommunication with theRear Security Officeris imperative and should be updated regularly, as well as status checks 51. 52.
