The information technology market, pharmaceutical industry and metallurgy are the most progressive sectors of Ukrainian economy with growth rate at some 40 per cent.

Ukraine is an active member of World Health Organization since 1948. Pharmaceutical industry in Ukraine is well-developed and shows aggressive growth each year, even though the country itself has suf-fered from a global crisis. It consists of 180 factories widely spread throughout the country. The volume of Ukrainian pharmaceutical mar-ket is expected to double by 2012 to USD 5.5 billion. Ukraine has re-cently become a member of WTO which had a very good influence on business climate in the country. By 2011 all Ukrainian pharmaceutical factories will be GMP certified.
