Community Planning

Workshops

• Eleven Community Planning Workshops were held during May, June and July.

• Purpose:To engage potential partner/collaborator organizations in planning activities that would further define “what” should be the focus of the FHKY’s mission related to “unmet health-care needs of Kentuckians.”

Workshops were held in 10 communities:

•Paducah (pilot site)•Madisonville•Somerset•Hazard•Morehead

•Louisville (2)•Lexington•Owensboro•Hazard•Bowling Green

Methodology

• All workshops used a standard format and modified Delphi process to generate consistent information that could be prioritized into recommendations of focus areas.

• Recommendations from each workgroup were recorded and analyzed.
