ÎLE-DE-FRANCE REGIONAL STRATEGY FOR FREIGHT AND LOGISTICS

Challenges:

▪ Adapting to fast changing environments

▪ Reducing the nuisance caused by the highway mode

▪ Make the most of waterway transport and encouraging intermodality

▪ Improving the logistic industry image to support job creation and attract newprofiles

Strategic positioning:

▪ Starting from the professionals’ needs and constraints

▪ Shifting from a dogmatic approach to modal report to an economic relevancelogic

▪ Creating a regional framework to focus on common goals

▪ Encouraging a holistic approach (transport, employement, environment, innovation, ...) so that territories and citizens make the most of freight

ÎLE-DE-FRANCE REGIONAL STRATEGY FOR FREIGHT AND LOGISTICS

➔ The regional strategy Acting for a controlled, efficient and innovativelogistics was adopted on 15 March 2018

How to combine economic and social performance and environmentalexcellence:

1. STRENGHTENING REGIONAL ATTRACTIVITY

➔ Support for innovation initiatives

Objective: anticipate the changes of the consumption and distribution patterns and theirimpact on all the logistic chains (equipments, vehicles, services, training, …)

Kinds of projects: process and organisationnel innovation for logistics chains, logistic realestate, vehicles or logistics data tools

Amount of the subsidy: up to 50% of the investments, capped at 500K€

Example of a funded project:

→ Developping data standards for the food system:− Interoperability of the different local food platform− Communication between producers and consumers− Mutualisation of transport operations

DATA FOODCONSORTIUM

2. A TARGETED PLANNING OF INFRASTRUCTURES

➔ Support for connectivity of logistics areas and heavy goods parkings

Objective: improve the accessibility of logistics zones with helping the construction, adaptation or securing of access and parking infrastructures

Eligibility criteria: proximity to the main road network, quality of the territorial integration, integration in the regional logistic network, presence of NGV filling stations

Amount of the subsidy: up to 50% of the investments, capped at 1M€

Example of a funded project: adaptationof the Port of Gennevilliers main road

→ Construction of a roundabout and extension of the port main road to anticipate the arrival of a 60 000 m² e-logistics facility

3. TERRITORIAL COORDINATION AND STIMULATION

➔ Ongoing call for tenders to address the needs of the territories

Objective: support partnership-based pilot projects and demonstrators which includelogistics in the development strategies of the territories

Eligibility criteria: the projects have to be jointly developed by local authorities withprivate stakeholders and have to consider all the aspects of local development(employment, training, reduction of the nuisance, etc.)

Amount of the subsidy: up to 50% of the investments, capped at 1M€

Example of a funded project:urban logistic base for cargo-bikes

→ 220 m² under the Boulevard Périphérique (Paris ring-road)
