Light and acoustics are two of the most important elements in one’s experience of a room. Nowadays, the trend in modern architecture is to create big open areas in which sound reflective materials are frequently used. These aspects make it difficult to create an environment with the right amount of light and good acoustics. With the Atlantis Multiline introduces a product that combines light and acoustics in a unique way. The concept allows us to offer two solutions in one product, completely tailored to the needs of the customer. This design clearly finds its application in offices, meeting venues, hotels, universities, etc.
Verlichting en akoestiek zijn twee van de belangrijkste elementen in de beleving van een ruimte. In de moderne architectuur worden echter vaak grote, open zones gecreëerd waarbij het gebruik van geluid weerkaatsende materialen alomtegenwoordig is. Deze aspecten maken het moeilijk om een omgeving te creëren met de juiste hoeveelheid licht en een goede akoestiek. Met de Atlantis introduceert Multiline een product dat licht en akoestiek op unieke wijze met elkaar combineert. Zo bieden we twee oplossingen in één, volledig op maat van de klant. Dit ontwerp vindt duidelijk zijn toepassing in kantoren, conferentiezalen, hotels, universiteiten, enz.
Licht und Akustik sind zwei der wichtigsten Elemente in der Belebung eines Zimmers. Heutzutage ist der Entwurf von großen, offenen Räumen ein Trend in der modernen Architektur. Dabei werden oft schallreflektierende Baustoffe benutzt. Diese Aspekte machen es aber schwierig, eine Umgebung mit den richtigen Lichtverhältnissen und einer guten Akustik zu gestalten. Mit Atlantis präsentiert Multiline ein Produkt, das Licht und Akustik in einzigartiger Weise miteinander kombiniert. So bieten wir zwei Lösungen mit einem Produkt, das voll auf die Bedürfnisse des Kunden abgestimmt wird. Dieser Entwurf findet seine Anwendung in Büros, Konferenzsälen, Hotels, Universitäten, usw.
Eclairage et acoustique sont deux des éléments les plus importants quand on vit l’expérience d’une espace. Dans l’architecture moderne on crée souvent de grandes surfaces ouvertes où l’emploi de matériaux réfléchissants est omniprésent. Ces particularités compliquent la création d’un environnement avec un éclairage adéquat et une bonne acoustique. Avec Atlantis, Multiline introduit un produit qui combine l’éclairage et l’acoustique d’une façon unique. On offre ainsi deux solutions en une, répondant parfaitement aux besoins du client. Ce projet trouve clairement son application dans des bureaux, des salles de conférences, des hôtels, des universités, etc.

The acoustic modules have the shape of a rectangle with sleek proportions (0.5 x 1.0 x 0.05 m), are cut from a 5 cm thick basotect foam sheet and finished with a flocklayer in the standard colours light grey or middle grey. They can be used in combination with existing light profiles from Multiline: Rekta 40, Rekta 65, Rekta 80 and Edge 55. Naturally, the lighting functionality of the products remains the same. There are three ways to mount the panels next to the light profile with the use of mounting brackets and if necessary counterweights. These components can be powder coated in any RAL colour of choice.
Les modules acoustiques ont la forme d’un rectangle étroitement proportionné (0,5 x 1,0 x 0,05 m), sont découpés d’une plaque basotect de 5 cm d’épaisseur et finalisés avec une couche flock dans les couleurs standards gris clair ou gris moyen. Ils peuvent être combinés avec des systèmes d’éclairage existants de Multiline: Reka 40, Rekta 65, Rekta 80 et Edge 55. La fonctionnalité d’éclairage reste bien sûr intacte. Les panneaux peuvent être montés selon trois façons différentes à côté du profilé à l’aide des supports de montage et, si nécessaire, des contrepoids. Ces composants peuvent être laqués dans n’importe quelle couleur RAL.
De akoestische modules hebben de vorm van een strak geproportioneerde rechthoek (0,5 x 1,0 x 0,05 m), zijn gesneden uit een 5 cm dikke basotect-plaat en afgewerkt met een flocklaag in de standaardkleuren lichtgrijs of middelgrijs. Ze kunnen in combinatie met bestaande lichtsystemen van Multiline worden gebruikt: Rekta 40, Rekta 65, Rekta 80 en Edge 55. Daarbij blijft natuurlijk alle verlichtingsfunctionaliteit behouden. Er bestaan drie manieren om de panelen naast het lichtprofiel te monteren met behulp van montagebeugels en indien nodig contragewichten. Deze componenten kunnen in elke gewenste RAL-kleur worden gelakt.
Die akustischen Module haben die Form eines Rechtecks mit schlanker Optik (0,5 x 1,0 x 0,05 m), sind aus einer 5 cm dicken Basotect-Platte geschnitten und mit einer Flocklage in den Standardfarben hellgrau oder mittelgrau gefertigt. Sie können in Kombination mit den bestehenden Lichtsystemen von Multiline benutzt werden: Rekta 40, Rekta 65, Rekta 80 und Edge 55. Dabei bleibt natürlich alle Licht-Funktionalität erhalten. Es gibt drei Methoden, um die Platten mittels Montagebügel und gegebenenfalls Gegengewichte neben einem Lichtprofil zu montieren. Diese Komponenten können in jeder gewünschten RAL-Farbe lackiert werden.

It is also possible to install the panels against a wall or ceiling. There are 2 options: panels installed directly against the wall with magnets or panels installed at a distance from the wall with magnets and stand-off mounts.
Het is ook mogelijk om de panelen tegen de muur of het plafond te plaatsen. Daarvoor zijn er 2 opties: panelen die met magneten direct tegen de wand worden geïnstalleerd of panelen die door middel van afstandhouders en magneten op afstand van de wand worden gemonteerd.
Il est également possible d’installer les panneaux contre le mur ou le plafond. Il y a 2 options: panneaux installés directement contre le mur avec des aimants ou panneaux installés à une distance du mur avec des aimants et des éléments d’espacement.
Es ist auch möglich, die Platten direkt an der Wand oder Decke zu befestigen. Dafür gibt es 2 Möglichkeiten: die Platten werden direkt an der Wand mit Magneten montiert oder die Platten werden mit Abstand zur Wand mittels Magneten und Abstandhalter montiert.

Sound absorption
Basotect is a lightweight material made from melamine foam. This foam has very good thermal and especially excellent acoustic properties. It has a high sound absorbing functionality because sound waves can enter into the open cell foam. As a result, the distance of the reverberation decreases, while speech clarity at a short distance improves. The sound absorption values are particularly high.
Basotect staat voor een zeer licht materiaal dat gemaakt is van melamineschuim. Dit schuim beschikt over goede thermische en vooral uitstekende akoestische eigenschappen. Het heeft een hoge geluidsabsorberende werking doordat geluidsgolven in de open cellen van het schuim kunnen binnendringen. De nagalm over lange afstand neemt hierdoor af, terwijl de spraakverstaanbaarheid op korte afstand verbetert. De absorptiewaarden liggen bijzonder hoog.
Basotect ist ein leichter Schaumstoff aus Melaminharz. Der Schaum hat gute thermische und vor allem ausgezeichnete akustische Eigenschaften. Es besitzt ein hohes Schallabsorptionsvermögen, da Schallwellen in die Zellstruktur des Schaumstoffs eindringen können. Nachhall über große Entfernung nehmt hierdurch ab, während die Sprachverständlichkeit über kurze Entfernung verbessert. Die Absorptionswerten sind besonders hoch.
Basotect est un matériau très léger qui est fait de mousse de résine mélamine. Cette mousse dispose de bonnes caractéristiques thermiques et d’excellentes qualités acoustiques. Le produit a un fonctionnement très absorbant, parce que les ondes acoustiques peuvent entrer dans les cellules ouvertes de la mousse. L’écho à longue distance diminue ainsi, pendant que la compréhension verbale à courte distance s’améliore. Les valeurs d’absorption sont particulièrement élevées.

Fire protection
The Atlantis meets the highest international fire regulations. The product has been B1 certified according to the DIN 4102 norm and is resistant to temperatures of up to 240° C. The material does not melt nor does it create any burning droplets. It simply begins to char. The acoustic panels are manufactured without the use of halogenated hydrocarbons, flame retardants or toxic heavy metals.
De Atlantis voldoet aan de strengste internationale brandvoorschriften. Het product is B1 gecertificeerd volgens de DIN 4102 normering en heeft een temperatuur resistentie tot 240° C. Het smelt niet en veroorzaakt geen brandende druppels, het verkoolt eenvoudig. De akoestische panelen zijn geproduceerd zonder gebruik van gehalogeneerde koolwaterstoffen, vlamvertragers of giftige zware metalen.
L’Atlantis satisfait aux prescriptions d’incendie internationales les plus sévères. Le produit est certifié comme classe B1 selon la norme DIN 4102 et résiste à des températures jusqu’à 240° C. Il ne fond pas et n’occasionne pas de gouttes brûlantes, il brûle de façon simple. Les panneaux acoustiques sont produits sans utiliser d’hydrocarbures halogénées, de retardeurs de flamme ni de métaux lourds toxiques.
Atlantis erfüllt die wichtigsten internationalen Brandschutznormen. Das Produkt ist nach der Norm DIN 4102 B1-zertifiziert und hat eine Widerstandsfähigkeit gegen Temperaturen von bis zu 240° C. Es schmilzt nicht und verursacht auch keine brennenden Tropfen, sondern es verkohlt einfach. Die akustischen Platten sind ohne Anwendung von halogenierten Kohlenwaterstoffen, Flammhemmern oder toxischen Schwermetallen hergestellt.
