Acme Designers is a consulting design firm offering professional services in architecture, interiors and landscape designs. Our Bangalore office was established in 2006 to provide

professional design services under taking wide variety of projects combined with 10 years of experience in Hyderabad, Mumbai and Bangalore. We have developed a reputation for our

theme based design for a range of major commercial buildings in architectural as well as interiors projects.

Our design team strength of more than 30 minds, including architects, designers, civil engineers, qsr & support staff, brings a diversity of experience, fresh perspective and originality,

combined with technical expertise and extraordinary attention to each detail, where the results speak for themselves. We also provide an intelligent approach to each of our client, resulting in

Sunita (B.Arch.), is the founding principal of ACME Designers. She began her career as an undergraduate in architecture at the prestigious S.P.A Jawaharlal Nehru

Technological University, Hyderabad with two years of Interiors as elective course from IIID (Indian Institute of Interior Designers). She has been the University & Thesis

Topper, winning 3 Gold medals for best Architect, Interior Designer and best outgoing student of the year. Winning the NASA Design competition, theme – The Future

City adds brilliance to her achievements.

She has mixed experience working as associates with senior architects for varied infrastructure projects like Ramoji Film city, which is largest film city of Asia spread over 9000 acres,

theme parks like NTR gardens, water parks ,Star Hotels, specialty Hospitals etc.

She has also experience as an Art Director for movies which has enhanced her power of instant thinking and above all giving her a distinctive knowledge in Art, Architecture & Interiors.

She believes in boundless imagination which can be created into extra ordinarily unique décors with ultimate perfection in the most cost efficient manner.

Under her mentorship, the firm has undertaken varied, diverse projects in architectural & interior divisions. Over the period of 8 years, our architectural profile includes more than 100

projects of mixed nature in Commercial & Institutional buildings, Hotels & Resorts, Real estate development, Villa layouts & Gated communities, Museums buildings, Factory buildings &

high-end residences. Currently we have more than 25 architectural projects in various segments on board.

Similarly, our interior profile includes more than 150 projects in various segments like Retail, Restaurants, Hotels & Resorts, Spas, Training Centers, Corporate Offices, Bar Lounges, Cafes,

Auditoriums, Museums & private residences. Currently we are working on more than 40 interior projects in these segments.

A few of landscape & master planning projects are also on-board currently in various stages of planning, conceptualization & execution.

Moreover, we have a workshop unit for creatively exploring new materials in architecture & interiors. We strive for innovation in material application, forms, experimental lighting & up

scaling of mundane materials. ACME Constructions, a division of ACME Designers, undertakes the project management, construction & quality control of the design execution.

PROJECT : SAIVEN DEVELOPER’S MARBLE ARCH @ DOMMASANDRA, BANGALORE

The project was to be developed for SAIVEN DEVELOPERS on Sarjapur Road, Bangalore. This project is

inspired by British style.

British architecture with its emphasis on symmetry, proportion and strong geometry on it’s façade, gives a sense of

harmony and elegance.

The property is comfortably close to a host of international schools along with other conveniences. The brief

provided was to design 27 villas in British style in less than an acre space, each villa being 2,200 sq.ft with 5

bedrooms and a backyard. Given the high requirement, the main challenge faced was the space constraint.

PROJECT : SAIVEN DEVELOPER’S MARBLE ARCH @ DOMMASANDRA, BANGALORE

FOYER

Each individual house has been designed stressing for optimum utilization of space. The house is designed in split levels to provide expanse and privacy. Each house

boasts of 4 bedrooms, home theatre room & a private terrace. Orderly arrangement of columns, pilasters and cornices along a single circulation axis reignites a novel

sense of community and camaraderie. Each house has 2 car parks in the front lower level & a sprawling 400 sq. ft. backyard for leisure activities.




PROJECT : SANDEEP SUPRIYA RESIDENCE, VILLA NO. 36, RAINBOW RESIDENCY, SARJAPUR ROAD, BANGALORE

We were commissioned to design residence at Sarjapur road which

is a south east 50’x80’ corner site. Self sustaining building in all

aspects achieving a zero energy module and a central courtyard

opening out to all private and semi private spaces by maintaining

privacy.

The exterior façade of the house is appealing with it’s circular

pergolas projecting outwards giving it a very dramatic feel. As the

house is located in a dense residential area surrounded by

contemporary houses with strong horizontal lines, one will stop to

notice this building as it breaks the monotony of a linear form.

Keeping the climatic conditions and the requirements in mind we

proposed to have a semi circular form externally with an internal

semi circular courtyard opening up the house to maximum

daylight and view. The house is designed to play along with the

sun’s movement, as the form of the house casts shadows which

plays an important role in keeping the house cool throughout the

day. Only two solar panels with high battery storage are used for

the entire house to generate electricity. A separate rain harvesting

sump along with a filtration unit has been provided which is used

for their flush tank, to water their organic garden and other utility

functions.




PROJECT : SANDEEP SUPRIYA RESIDENCE, VILLA NO. 36, RAINBOW RESIDENCY, SARJAPUR ROAD, BANGALORE

As you step into the house, the scale of the courtyard has a serene aura

automatically giving you a feel of expanse and openness drawing in a large

amount of daylight into the house. The courtyard opens out into the dining

room, kitchen and bedrooms.

Eco friendly materials are used to achieve a low carbon foot print. Paints with

low VOC, handmade Jaipur tiles for bathrooms and Jaisalmer tiles for the living

spaces are used.

Small details in the house are given as much importance as the overall

ambience. Considering the overall hygiene of the internal environment. We

researched that the amount of dust a mosquito mesh can bring into the house

can be quite unhygienic. Hence a detail for a mosquito mesh was created

which is easily detachable and can be washed on a regular basis.

Each furniture is creatively designed with handle less shutter details and use of

modern materials like glass ,wood/veneer and customized texture paints.




PROJECT : INDIAN PARATHA COMPANY, NR. NANDI HILLS, DEVANAHALLI, BANGALORE

IPC ( The Indian Paratha company) is a restaurant developed

along the state high way and acts as a place of retreat for

many bikers promoting Nandi hill tourism. What is unique

about IPC is it’s food itself. The food provided is a

combination of Paratha and Pizza served as “Parazzas” using

mostly organic ingredients . The food provided at IPC is very

much localized and Indian.

The Architectural language proposed for IPC is inspired by

the cultural idea of the food provided at IPC itself . The

concept is to provide a “home away from home”. The form,

material, structure used in the project was inspired by this

concept.

As the city is developing at a fast rate the idea was to propose

the structure as a scalable mobile model. As the city develops

The structure can be dismantled and re-assembled to another

location in a matter of 7 days giving it the flexibility and ease

required. A separate provision has also been provided to

convert food waste into biogas. The structure along with it’s

rocky garden acts as a social interface along the highway for

a large number of tourists to gather.




PROJECT : INDIAN PARATHA COMPANY, NR. NANDI HILLS, DEVANAHALLI, BANGALORE

The main architectural highlight of IPC is it’s

sheer structure. It’s made entirely out of wood

with less than a dozen nails, giving it a very

natural, rustic, cozy and an intimate ambience.

The form and natural element of the structure is

welcoming as it merges with the surrounding

landscape of the highway and stands out as a

whole instead of acting as a homogenous structure.

The design was developed keeping the natural

topography of the site keeping the interiors cool. A

large ground coverage was achieved due to it’s

minimal footprint, yet optimum utilization of

space. The concept was developed with the need

of reducing carbon footprint and was constructed

in 30 days with interlocking joints keeping the

construction cost minimal.
