Introduction

Today I am going to talk about acid rain and about what causes it plus its effect etc.. Acid rain is: A mixture of wet and dry deposition coming from the atmosphere containing more than higher nitric and sulphuric acid

What causes it ???

Acid rain is caused by the chemical reaction that begins when compounds like sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide are released into the air. Humans are the main cause of acid rain by releasing many different chemicals.

Its Effects on Buildings

Acids have a corrosive effect on limestone or marble buildings or sculptures. It is well that either wet or dry deposition of sulfur dioxide increases the rate of corrosion on limestone, sandstone, and marble.
