History of EANET
RegionalResource CentreFor Asia and the Pacific
Objectives of EANET
• To create a common understanding of the
state of the acid deposition problems in East Asia;
• To provide useful inputs for decision-making at local, national and regional levels aimed at preventing or reducing adverse impacts on the environment caused by acid deposition; and
• To contribute to cooperation on the issues related to acid deposition among the participating countries

Implementation of Joint projects on Public Awareness
Since 1999, NC has been undertaking joint projects with countries to develop their own national brochures and/or videotapes on acid deposition.
Workshops on Public Awareness for Acid Deposition Problems were held annually.
RegionalResource CentreFor Asia and the Pacific
The monitoring of wet deposition was conducted at 47 stations all over the participating countries.
