The session focused on the importance of being adequately prepared before setting sail. Basic essentials like sunscreen, hat, water were covered as were life jackets and even the use of emergency flares. The students were clearly engaged as they competed with each other and the clock to get into life jackets in under 30 seconds. Both presenters were impressed with the quality of our students’ responses and Brianna Sinagra was the worthy recipient of a life jacket worth $160. Achievement through Caring, Respect and Responsibility

From the Principal…

A belated “welcome back” to everyone for our final school term for 2019!

Marine Safety

Staff and students were treated to a most informative, interesting and highly relevant Marine Safety presentation last week.

Galaxy Excursion

Staff accompanied students from Years P-6 last Friday for an excursion to the Galaxy mine site and according to all attending it was a most interesting exercise. (The pictures tell the story. Ref page 4).

Music Tuition

Guitar and piano lessons are taking place on Mondays to Wednesdays and Fridays directly after school in Room 1.This arrangement is for those students who were being privately tutored previously off-site. Parents are encouraged to seek out David and Dahlia for further information about music tuition.

Art Projects

The school is looking forward to our students’ involvement with two forthcoming Art projects— the sea container and the barbecue mosaic. Artists managing these two projects will be in our school over the next fortnight on and off until early December.

Welcome
