4-H teaches youth leadership, citi-

zenship, and life skills using a

‘learn by doing’ approach. It is an

educational program that pro-

vides wholesome, fun activities for

youth. 4-H is a nationwide pro-

gram offered locally through your

office. Who can join? Cloverbuds:

grades K-2, and 4-H members:

grades 3-12 (and age 8).

Directions

Combine first five ingredients in

a medium bowl. Add mayonnaise

and Greek yogurt to the chicken

mixture; stir. Cover with plastic

wrap, and chill chicken salad in

the refrigerator at least 1 hour.

Just before serving, line cones

with lettuce; fill with chicken

salad. Makes 4 servings.

Did You Know?

Cake cones are baked from

batter poured into molds.

The first molded cones had

pointed bottoms.

The most common molded

cones now have flat bottoms.

The little ribs on the outside

of the cake cones make them

Ice cream cones that aren’t

sweet, ironically called “cake”

cones, make fun, edible serving

containers for salads. Fill them

just before eating so the cones

will stay crisp.
