1. Notice
Welcome to Achain Wallet, a digital wallet based on the blockchain technology. It’s
different for new users when compared with traditional online banking client. Please make
sure read this guide before use.
The Achain Wallet was built for digital assets management. The private key with file
format. Gkey is only the certificate to own and transfer your digital assets. Please keep it
properly. It is recommended to backup your private key to at least two separate safe places,
such as hard-disk cartridge and a USB disk. Don’t tell anyone your private key, otherwise
those assets can be stolen. If the key was lost, it’s impossible to retrieve, even with the help
of Achain technologists.
2. Setup and Log in
Access the official website (www.achain.com) and download the zip file named Achain
Wallet. Unzip file and double click the shortcut with Achain icon.

With the Achain Lite Wallet, there is no path for installation option. The wallet will install
and open from where it is extracted and used. Some files are installed in local data. Your
local data contains the encrypted infos of accounts, assets and password, don’t worry
about if the wallet was updated to the new version because the local data can still be
available. However, it’s necessary to backup your private key as it’s the last chance for you
to recover accounts and assets at any time, especially in case of disk formatting, Operating
System reloading, local data deletion. Chapter 4 will show more details about backup.

You need to create a new password when you first use, at least 8 characters, preferably
mixing digits, letters and other symbols. Then you can access you accounts after password
setting up.
The password will be invariable even if the wallet upgraded to new version, but it
should be reset when local data is deleted. We suggest you record your password and keep
it safe in two different locations.

3. Account Management
Account is the smallest unit for keeping and transferring digital assets and you can set
50 accounts at most for single wallet. Each account supports kinds of different contract asset
released through Achain platform, such as ACT, SMC, LEC etc. The Achain Wallet can be used
anywhere, only if you have the private key and import it to wallet on any computers.
For starters, there are 2 ways to add accounts, one is creating a new one directly,
another is importing private key and adding an existed. No matter how to do it, exclusive
name in necessary for account management and Achain Wallet will help you to ensure
uniqueness.

After you own personal accounts, you can transfer and receive digital assets.

4. Private key Backup
Select the account you want to backup on home page. Click ‘export’ button, choose a
folder, name the Gkey file and export, keep it properly at last.

5. Transfer
For successful transfer, there are 5 steps to be followed.
Step 1 - Select an asset category.
Step 2 - Select from which account, make sure it’s balance > 0.
Step 3 – Paste/enter in the address you want to transfer too.
Step 4 – Enter the desired amount.
Step 5 – Hit the Transfer button.
It is necessary to make sure the receipt account address is correct, otherwise the
transactions will be executed but the expected payees cannot receive assets with incorrect
inputs. The account address is case-sensitive, the use of copy and paste is much safer and is
highly encouraged.

You can check your transfer by going to the Achain browser from within the wallet or
using https://browser.achain.com/#/ and pasting in your address from which you are
transferring the asset from and hit search.

6. Record Inquiry
Select an asset category and an account, the wallet will list all transfer records.

7. Settings
Achain wallet offers 2 languages for global users, English (default) and Simplified
Chinese. You can select preferred language in settings and hit save.

For safety, we strongly recommend you use auto-lock function. You can set the number
of minutes to adjust the waiting time for auto-lock.

Please remember to write down your password and store it in a couple places if possible.
