Romania

MARCH

As a result of the training session carried out in our school by the participants

in the mobility to England, 17 teachers have devised approximately 90

proposals of learning opportunities, which will contribute to the improvement

of the first intellectual product.

There have also been 24 curriculum-integrated formal activities, in several

teaching subjects: Romanian, English, French, Maths, Physics, Chemistry,

Biology, Drawing, ICT, Geography, Music, School Counselling and

Professional Guidance. 665 students benefitted from these activities.

Between 14/19-03/2016, two training activities,(teaching/learning), took

place in SUNDSVALL, Suedia:

Our school was represented by prof. Simona Zepisi, project coordinator both at

partnership and school level, Prof. Barbu Camelia Florentina and the students:

Barbu Theodor,Zaharachescu Bogdan si Zepisi Andrei Laurentiu.

On the 23rd of MARCH, there was a meeting between our teachers and

representatives of The Local Authority in Environmental Protection, Valahia

University, Targoviste, The Faculty of Environmental Engineering.

The agenda comprised:

„Good practices in monitoring atmospheric pollution in urban areas,

towards an efficient protection of children, raising awareness of the

threats posed to health.” By Valahia University Targoviste.

„7 Billion Dreams. A Planet of Moderate Consumption” – The

Agengy For Environmental Protection. Department of Toxic Waste

and Dangerous Chemical Substances.

On 25th March the pupils Zarnescu Andreea Giorgiana and Vlad Andreea

Diana participated in the contest ‟‟ Made for Europe‟‟, with the brochure

‟‟Pollution‟‟ and the album ‟‟About Us‟‟ being awarded a mention and the

second prize.

On the 29th and 30th of March, the 40 students of the target group visited

The Institute of Scientific and Multidisciplinary Scientific Reasearch of

Valahia University.

The aim of the activity was to observe the infrastructure and the research and

development activity within Valahia University, in the field of renewable

energy, innovative products and processes through the development of

laboratories of The Institute of Scientific and Multidisciplinary Technology,

focusing on their state-of-the-art equipment.

APRIL

On the 6th of April, the students who participated in the activities in Sweden

disseminated to their colleagues the content of the activities carried out there.

The presentation was followed by a question-and-answers session.

On the 18th of April there was a conference of our students entitled

“Sustainability Development and Energy Consumption for an Ecological

Society” – which presented and developed the products and the results of the

students who partitipated in the mobility selection process, as well as other

products implemented by the students within formal and non-formal

activities (36 materials by 60 students were presented here)

As part of the celebration of ‟‟Earth Day‟‟, a poster activity was organised on

the 22nd of April, consisting of posters and drawings made by our students.

The exhibition was accompanied by materials implemented by pupils from

The Chech Republic and Italy.

In March and April the students carried out a study paper about the level of

noise in Targoviste, which will be finalised in May.

Street Campaign - promoting of the project in the city.

On the 21st of April there was a simulation of a hazard situation of accidental

pollution. The aim of the activity was to observe the interventional capacity

of specialists in the case of an accidental pollution of a river and it was

implemented by the Local Environmental Authority and Petrom. 17 students

participated. A similar activity will take place in MAY for the rest of the

students in the target group.

Recycling week was innaugurated in April, collecting pets, plastic, batteries,

paper, cardboard, cans. There will be competitions among the target group

classes.

Czech Republic

We participated in the Exchange in Sweden and we present the stay and it‟s

outcomes at school Assembly.

We wrote the article about the Erasmus+ project and Swedish Exchange into

school magazine.

We did a whole school assembly about Environment, it was connected with

Earth Day.

We participated in the project Clean Czech Republic, students and teachers

were cleaning and picking rubbish in Ostrava.

We had the meeting with teachers involved in the project and we wrote

suggestion for the environmental curriculum that is our intelectual output.

We participated in Wave project-students from whole school wrote their

commitments about the improving of environment. The cards with their

commitments were put together and will be brought by electric car to UN in

Switzerland where they will be part of the biggest postcard in the world.

Teachers of the project participated in workshop about Sustainable

Development Goals in education.

Italy

MARCH

Lesson on Sustainable development are conducted during lessons of different

subjects:

Chemistry Lab: Students, guided by prof. Ada Iannotta, took part in a

workshop producing biodiesel.

Creation of Power Point presentations about alternative and renewable

energy sources in the province of Taranto for the Transnational learning,

teaching and training activity for teachers and students in Sweden.

APRIL

14th April 2016 students, guided by prof. Maria Scarnera, took part in a

workshop manufacturing Scented Chalks.

Visit of the exhibition “From the age of the dinosaurs to the journey of

human life”. Our students discover amazing facts about life, the planet, our

environment and evolution.

Workshop on health and environment held by the International society of

Doctors for the environment ISDE.

Workshop about local environmental problems and solutions held by the

association “TARANTO RESPIRA”.

Biology Lesson related with Earth Day. Students disscussed about problems

and ways how to hetp our planet.

all people in the world don‟t use electricity.

Sweden

MARCH

This month began very very intensive with the preparation for the visit from

7 different partner schools. Students from the English 7 group prepared the

welcome meeting, posters of the different countries, etc, etc. Natural science

students prepared for the Gap-Minder workshop while students in the

Electrical and energy stream prepared for the outdoor activity in Sidsjö

together with the non-formal Forest school, logo workshops while the

students from Childcare and leadership stream prepared for the fantasy

animal workshop.

Democracy Day was implemented in the municipality where about 100

students from the school participated. Democracy day is about young

people's ability to influence and be included into a sustainable society. A

half-day activities for the participatng students.

Collapsed curriculum activity on 1st of March “ Health and welfare day”

which was presented to the class in small groups. The reports to this activity

will in the form of speed-dating with the guest teachers

from the 7 partner

countries on week 11.

“Trip to the future”, a half-day activity, which is about sustainable

management and efficient use of natural resources such as forest products

and forest industry was organised on March 3 at the school.

Work on environmental project in ESL, which was actually starts up in

January was completed and will be presented to the guests on week 11. 30

students continued their work on sustainability issues which will also be

presented to international Erasmus+ visitors.

On Sunday, 13th of March, 30 students and teachers from the partner school

started arriving. It was a very stressful day since spring break was still on and

many families were out in the mountains enjoying the last of the snow. The

last group arrived at 23.54 and the host families along with teacher Peder

Berglund were waiting for them in the train station to welcome them.

The whole week was planned to the minute details. Monday 14/3, began with

welcoming meeting and the traditional Swedish “Fika” and later a tour

around the school.

The school day ended with a trip to the local forest industry SCA where the

guests get a chance to see how papers are produced.

The guest teachers participated in all kinds of activities such as human rights,

speed-dating the students and learning from the students about Gap-minder.

They even get a chance to listen to our Anna Hassani and Mathias Sundin on

the local problems and county councils new environmental venture on

Biofuels and Electric cars which led to a trip to the Northern mountains on

electric cars.

Teachers from eight different countries on the Northern mountain, enjoying

the Swedish spring.

The students get a chance to enjoy our environment friendly adventure

swimming pool, logo workshop, create fantasy animals, visit the hydropower

plant, and even try out cross-country skiing, snow shoes, sledges, baking

twister and making hot chocolate in the trangia stove. Even if it was really

slushy since the snow was melting, one one seem to care.

Snow shoes can be fun and so are hot dogs and hot chocolate on a sunny but

slushy spring day.

The week passed very fast and before we realise it it was time for the guests

to leave. Many guest students didn´t want to go home leaving their new-

found friend and some even cried. Au Revior for now but don‟t forget YOU

ARE ALWAYS WELCOME BACK
