ProShield XGT™ is a proprietary multi-coat treatment for polished aluminum wheels that offers improved cleanability, enhanced shine, and improved corrosion resistance. Accuride wheels with ProShield XGT™ have been proven to show an 83% improvement in filiform corrosion protection over Accuride’s previous generation of wheel protection. Along with corrosion protection, ProShield XGT™ wheels feature a hydrophobic coating that repels dirt and contaminants (like brake dust), while still maintaining a great look and bright shine.

3-Step Coating Process We’ve developed ProShield XGT™ in conjunction with leading experts in the field of automotive coatings. After each wheel is polished, we apply a layer of Zirconium Oxide for improved corrosion resistance and adhesion and then add a polyester resin powder coat for a deep gloss shine. Finally, the wheels are treated with a proprietary hybrid coating that gives ProShield XGT™ its dirt and water repelling qualities.

ProShield XGT™ Repels Water

ProShield XGT™ creates a hydrophobic layer that repels both dirt and waterborne contaminants. Like a freshly waxed car, water beads on the wheel surface and simply runs off. Dirt, like brake dust, doesn’t stick to the wheel so it’s faster and easier to clean.
