We are actively seeking ideal candidates for the role of Account Director-Toronto, Canada to be responsible for selling complex telecom software solutions at senior executive levels to Tier 1 and Tier 2 telecom operators in Canada, plus ongoing account management of those accounts.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Sales team owns the overall customer relationship.  They are responsible for understanding key value propositions, and proactively coordinating the different company resources to create a seamless customer experience.  The Sales team is tasked with growing business within the existing account base, as well as expanding the business into new customers.   In this role you will be selling complex telecoms software solutions at senior executive levels to Tier 1 Communications Services Providers in Canada (Rogers, Bell, Eastlink, Videotron, Shaw, Cogeco) including ongoing account management of current install base. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Create demand/sales leads for company solutions within key accounts.

Qualify prospects and leads to identify relevant business opportunities.

Creation of Sales Plans and strategies to close new business.

Present comprehensive business solutions and negotiate terms at senior levels of the customer’s organization.

Work with third party partners and system integration organizations.

Develop a knowledge and understanding of company’s offerings, and carry out effective presentations of these to clients.

Develop and review tactical account plans, and obtain the support of key stakeholders such as services, development and support, while working closely with the Pre-Sales team.

Accurately forecast sales revenue, based on in-depth understanding and sound judgment, taking into account revenue recognition implications.

Achieve the agreed sales target.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE INDICATORS FOR THIS ROLE

A proven track record of identifying and developing a local network of Customers within the telecoms sector.

Experience closing big ticket, complex turn-key sales solutions.

At least 8 years proven sales experience within the telecommunications software sector.

Possess already established contacts at senior levels in target customer organizations forming a network of existing relationships.

 Strong background in developing and managing commercial relationships.

Highly articulate and persuasive.

A technical grasp in order to add value to customer discussions and translate product strengths into business benefit.

 Excellent interpersonal skills will be needed in order to build the strong relationships that will be critical to the success of this role.

Will have the gravitas, charisma and knowledge to be credible in complex discussions and negotiations.

A very high level of personal drive and motivation, focused on results.

 A willingness and desire to get involved in the sales activity at every level.

 Not a person who measures their worth in number of reports, size of budgets etc., but in terms of delivering results.

 Prefers to communicate frequently to stay ‘plugged- in’ to the business.

QUALIFICATIONS

 Ideally possess a Bachelor’s degree.
