Our equipment is supported by a number of strategically located servicing and repair centres. All powered

instruments and attachments should be regularly serviced to ensure optimum performance and reliability.

Regular servicing will minimise the risk of unexpected breakdowns. Servicing includes a comprehensive functional

check, cleaning and testing, followed by the replacement of any worn or damaged components. Because of

specialist techniques used in the manufacture and maintenance of our equipment, no user or third party

servicing is possible.

Disinfect/sterilise the equipment in accordance with reprocessing instructions outlined in the products

Operating Instructions.

Record the serial number of the equipment being returned with the return documentation and enclose

a brief statement describing the reason for the equipment’s return together with a contact information.

(contact name, email address and telephone number).

For warranty returns, please state the original invoice number, date of purchase and a brief statement

describing the reasons for the equipment’s return.

For repair/servicing, please enclose a purchase order number to cover the Minimum Repair/Inspection Charge.

Pack instruments securely, as any in-transit damage is not covered by the warranty.

The cost of all repairs will always be advised by De Soutter Medical and approved by the customer before any

work commences.

Please see individual Operating Instructions for our policy for disposal, return and transportation of

Lithium Ion batteries. Lithium Ion battery packs should not be returned or transported if there are any signs of

damage. If in doubt, please seek guidance from your local De Soutter Medical representative.

When returning a battery pack, our approved Lithium Ion battery label should be printed from the

De Soutter Medical website and attached to the outer packaging. For more information on Lithium Ion battery

transportation, please visit our support page “ www.de-soutter.com/Support ”

Requests for credit returns must be received within 60 days of the invoice date.

Equipment returned to De Soutter Medical for credit without our prior written authorisation will not be accepted.

All returned goods will be subject to a re-stocking charge of 15% of the net original invoice value.

Credit cannot be given for items damaged during return shipment due to inadequate packaging. To receive

a full credit, less the re-stocking charge, all products must be returned in full package quantities and any

consumables must be in the original, undamaged packaging.

Consumables i.e. single use Burs, Blades and Pump Kits - for such period expiring on the “use by date”.

This limited warranty is restricted to repair or replacement by the Company, at its option, of any Product found to

be defective during the warranty period. All warranties shall apply only to the original Customer. In no event shall

the Company be liable for any anticipated profits, consequential damages or loss of time incurred by the Customer

with the purchase or use of any Product.

The Company shall be under no liability in respect of any defect arising or resulting from fair wear and tear,

improper or inadequate installation, use or maintenance, accidental or wilful damage, negligence, abnormal

working conditions, failure to follow the Company’s product operating instructions, misuse or modification or

alteration or repair of the Products by unauthorised third parties or the Customer.

The Company warrants to the Customer that any service or repair work performed by the Company on Products

not within the warranty period shall be free from defects in workmanship and materials for a period of twelve

(12) months, six (6) months for pneumatic hoses, after the date the Customer received the Product(s).

The aforementioned warranty does not affect your Statutory Rights.

De Soutter Medical, (“the Company”), warrants to the first purchaser or lessee (“Customer”) that the instruments,

attachments, parts and consumables manufactured by or for the Company (hereinafter collectively called

“Products”) are guaranteed to be free from defects in material and workmanship for the warranty period for a

particular Product, beginning from the date of invoice.
