Accessing Huawei 3G LMT

1 – Install the proper software version

LMT DBS3800 V100R012C00SPC200 for DBS 3800 BTS3900 V100R003C00SPC100 for DBS 3900 LMT BTS3812E V100R012C00SPC200 VER for BTS 3812

The Password for installation package is (NODEB)



2 – Change Laptop IP IP 17.21.2.14 Subnet mask 255.0.0.0



3 – Open the LMT



Add office



Then click on (Add)



Then enter this dataOffice : NODEB IP Address : 17.21.2.15

Then click (Ok)



Then click (close)



Then enter the user name and passwordUser name : admin password : NodeBThen click (Login)



In case of the matching type not detected automatically by the LMTYou must Choose the matching software with the hardware exist in the site

Click on Fault Management then choose Browse Alarm to view the active alarms



Click on Alarm Management then choose List Alarm Log to view the history alarms

Uploading and Downloading files

Generally we have three kind of files :NodeB program : NodeB.pck (software)NodeB BOOTROM : NBRom.pck (firmware)NodeB data configuration file : NodeBCfg.xml (configuration)

The first two files are general for all sites which have the same NODEB typeBut the third file is private for each site that mean each site have own NODBCFG.xml

You can check the software and firmware by these commands :LST SOFTWARE , and LST VER If its matching with our network working RAN , like this (DBS3900-WCDMAV200R012C00SPC200 ) its ok , you can download NODEBCFG.xmlIf it is not matching the working RAN , you must download the two files , then you can download the third file NODEBCFG.xml



To uploading or Downloading any file you must have FTP Server software installed in your laptop The FTP Server installed automatically with Huawei 2G LMT Software , but we haven’t Huawei 2G so we need external FTP Server software

Extract this file and run it , then set FTP configuration



User name : admin password : admin port number : 21 working directory : choose any directory threat number : 50



Then run the command : ADD FTPSCLTDPORTEnter the data IP Address : 17.21.2.14 port : 21



Then run the command : SET FTPSCLTEnter the data Mode : Plaintext firewall: NO



Now you can upload and download any filesFor example to download configuration file :choose Maintenance – software management – Data config file transfer



Choose uploadFrom browse : choose the same directory of FTP Server configuration (as slide 28)



From modify : enter the same FTP Server configuration (as slide 28)



Then click ok then click start to start the file transfer
