INTRODUCTION AND PROPERTY DESCRIPTION

This report details the processes and results of the fall 2018 drilling program on the

North Abitibi Property, by Tri Origin Exploration Ltd. Three completed drill holes and two failed

attempts, totaling 1624 meters, were drilled between September 25 and October 29, 2018. Due

to complications with the sole access road from inclement fall weather, the program was ended

before all planned drilling was completed.

Tri Origin’s North Abitibi property is located in Hoblitzell Township, Larder Lake Mining

Division, approximately 20 km west of the Ontario/Québec border and 120 km northeast of

Cochrane, Ontario (figure 1). Vehicle access to the property is via the gravel Tomlinson Road,

which departs north from Trans-Limit Road at kilometer 89 as measured from Cochrane. The

property consists of 187 Single Cell Mining Claims and 28 Boundary Cell Mining Claims,

covering an area of approximately 50 square kilometers. The claims are held as to a 100%

interest by Tri Origin Exploration Ltd. and all claims are in good standing until at least January

27, 2020. The drilling program was conducted in the central portion of the property, west of

Spade Lake (figure 2). Cell claims on which drilling and associated work was performed on are

listed in Table 1 and shown in figure 2.

REGIONAL AND PROPERTY GEOLOGY

The North Abitibi Property is situated in the northwest corner of the Archean age Abitibi

Greenstone Belt. This portion of the greenstone belt hosts the Mattagami, Selbaie, Joutel and

Casa-Berardi mining camps in Quebec and the Detour Lake Mine in Ontario (figure 3). The

geology of the property is largely known from a synthesis of drill core logging, geophysical

interpretation, and overburden stripping near Tomlinson Road (figure 4). Outcrop exposure is

rare on the property, at <1%.

From most northerly extent of the property to the Spade Lake Zone, the property is

underlain by east-west striking primarily volcaniclastic and sedimentary rocks. Iron-rich

sediments as banded magnetite–silica–amphibole+/-garnet beds occur along the southern

contact of this assemblage, and the sediments are intruded by gabbro at the eastern part of the

property.

The Spade Lake Zone consists of mafic to felsic volcanic rocks with minor volcaniclastic

sediments, intruded by sills of the “Spade Lake Porphyry” which are most abundant at the south

part of the zone. The Spade Lake Porphyry is a coarse grained, porphyritic felsic intrusion with a

granodiorite to granite composition. Felsic tuffs predominate in the western part of this belt and

mafic volcanic flows and volcaniclastics are more common in the eastern part of this belt.

Historic drill logs and drill core samples indicate the presence of agglomeritic or conglomeritic

sedimentary units east along strike from the Spade Lake Zone. Structural information from drill

core suggests a moderate to steep northerly dip for most lithologies.

The area between the Spade Lake Zone and the Road Gold Zone is less well known,

primarily because most drill holes were stopped once they intersected the Spade Lake

Porphyry. This area consists of a mixed unit of intermediate volcanic rock interpreted to extend

the length of the property. It is likely intruded by a quartz feldspar porphyry, based on historic

drill logs.

Lying to the south of this belt is another mixed assemblage composed of felsic to mafic

volcanic flows and volcaniclastic rocks, which dip at 60 to 70° north. A large portion of this area

was exposed during 2011 and 2016 trenching conducted by Tri Origin. This area is referred to

as the Road Gold Zone. The northern edge of the trenched area is underlain by amphibole-rich

basalt and tuffaceous amphibolitic schist dipping moderately to steeply to the north. The mafic

volcanic rocks contain well foliated sections of intense iron carbonate alteration as bedding-

parallel layers and veinlets (with 5 to 10% vein density). Outcropping south of the mafic unit are

magnetite-rich dacitic to rhyodacitic volcanic, pyroclastic, and volcaniclastic rocks. Trenching

uncovered bomb-bearing, dacitic, pyroclastic flows and ash tuffs. Bombs are comprised of

feldspar-crystal tuffs, and are quite large and stretched, ranging from 0.5 to 5 m in length and up

to 1 m in width, with significant amounts of pyrite and chalcopyrite (up to 10%) locally

associated with quartz veins. A broad area of argillaceous sedimentary rock occurs south of this

volcanic assemblage along the southern margin of the property.

Gold mineralization has been intersected by drilling at both the Spade Lake and Road

Gold Zones. The main Spade Lake zone is a west striking, stratabound and, in places,

stratiform, altered felsic to intermediate tuff located near the north margin of Spade Lake. The

Road Gold zone is a west-striking zone of laminated, ash tuff located 1.3 km south of the Spade

Lake zone immediately west of the Tomlinson Road. A third gold mineralized zone occurs south

of Club Lake and may be associated with oxide-facies iron formation but has not been

evaluated by Tri Origin. Gold appears to be related to pyrite abundance and to a lesser extent,

silicification and quartz veins in altered felsic schists at Spade Lake. At the Road Gold Zone,

gold appears to be more abundant in pyritic tuff where there is a greater abundance of sulphidic

quartz veins and iron-carbonate alteration. Alteration accompanying the gold mineralization also

includes sericite, hematite, magnetite, chlorite and minor tourmaline.

HISTORIC EXPLORATION ACTIVITIES

Due to the extensive overburden cover and lack of outcrop exposure, a variety of

airborne and ground geophysical survey programs (largely carried out by Cogema Canada Ltd.,

Newmont Exploration of Canada Ltd., and Esso Resources Canada Ltd.) have been the

principal methods of exploration on the property followed by reverse circulation (RC) and

diamond drilling. A total of 116 RC overburden holes and 96 diamond drill holes are spread over

the entire length of the property and the historical gold intercepts in diamond drilling represent

targets for future diamond drilling programs. The majority of the historic diamond drill holes on

the property were drilled by Cogema Canada Limited, Newmont Exploration of Canada Ltd., and

Tri Origin Exploration Ltd. The historic drill holes are further detailed by Learn, Mandziuk,

Perkins, and Harron (see references). Twenty-one of these holes reported at least one sample

> 2 grams Au per tonne over a 1 metre intersection.

The Road Gold zone was discovered during line cutting and bedrock mapping by

Newmont Exploration of Canada in the summer of 1985 (Archer, 1986). This discovery was

followed by a program of exploration between 1986 and 1987 which included an IP survey,

diamond drilling, RC overburden drilling, and overburden stripping.

EXPLORATION WORK CONDUCTED BY TRI ORIGIN

Tri Origin Exploration conducted diamond drilling in 2007 and 2008 (at both the Spade

Lake and Road zones), as well as overburden stripping in 2011 which expanded the surface

and subsurface extents of mineralization across 7 trenches at the Road Gold zone. The 2011

stripping program was cut short by the onset of winter. Geologic mapping of the trenches was

postponed and conducted in October 2014. Tri Origin geologists collected and assayed grab

samples from all of the trenches. Gold mineralization at the Road Gold zone was exposed at the

surface in trenches between 5,482,020 and 5,482,080 m N, and was recognized as striking

west to west-southwest and having a moderate to steep north dip. Assay results from drill core

have returned values up to 17.8 g/t Au, while grab samples from trenches have returned up to

43 g/t Au and 140 g/t Ag (Kendle 2012). In the fall of 2016 Tri Origin Exploration completed a

more extensive overburden stripping and rock sampling program in an attempt to expand the

known surface extension of the Road Gold zone. Overburden stripping was completed by

Digalot of Cochrane, ON. Twenty rock samples were collected from the new stripped area and

sent for assay (Au and Ag) and trace metals analysis (Cu, Zn, Pb, As, Ba, and Mo), as well as

ten outstanding rock samples from the 2011 exploration program. Eight overburden samples

were collected from the bedrock/overburden interface along the newly stripped walls and

analysed for gold plus base metals. Assay results from rock samples returned values of up to 20

g/t Au. Seven rock samples returned values greater than 500 ppb Au.

The 2016 overburden stripping program was conducted in conjunction with a line cutting

program and a 2D induced polarization (IP) survey. Line cutting was performed by A Star

Prospecting of Thunder Bay, ON, and IP surveying was performed by Dias Geophysical Ltd. of

Saskatoon, SK. In August 2018, prior to commencing diamond drilling, Tri Origin geologists

Page 13: accessible customer service. contact us. l’accessibilité ... · Tri Origin’s North Abitibi property is located in Hoblitzell Township, Larder Lake Mining Division, approximately

9

collected 23 grab samples from the Road Gold zone trenches which were sent for assay, as

well as trace element analyses. 9 were sent for major oxide analysis. Geochemical results are

summarized in a separate report filed with the Ontario government in 2019 (Ruhl and McEwan

2019). Assay results returned values of up to 7013 ppb Au. Three other samples returned Au

values above 1400 ppb. A more detailed geology map was produced of the main trench area

with refined geological contacts.

FALL 2018 DRILL PROGRAM

Between September 21st and November 8th, three diamond drill holes totaling 1388m

were completed within the North Abitibi property, one at the western Spade Lake zone and two

at the Road Gold zone. Two failed attempts occurred during the drilling of the holes at the Road

Gold zone. The drill was realigned and holes were re-drilled at adjusted azimuths. Drill core

from a hole drilled in 2007 by Tri Origin (NA-07-02) was obtained from the resident geology

office in Kirkland Lake and re-logged. Table 2 summarizes drill hole location details (coordinate

projection is in UTM NAD 83, zone 17) and table 3 lists survey results. Surveys were conducted

and recorded by Vital Drilling personnel using Reflex instrumentation. Azimuth was corrected for

a local declination of -10° west. All drilling operations were conducted by Vital Drilling from

Sudbury, ON. The drill was dragged from each site using a bull dozer and a tracked Muskeg.

Water saturated peat bogs hindered the progress of drill moves and made accessing drill sites

difficult. Core was brought to the Tomlinson road using ATVs or the dozer and transported to

Cochrane by a pick-up truck and trailer to be logged, photographed, cut, and sampled.

Samples were submitted to the SGS laboratory in Cochrane, ON, for fire assay and

measured by atomic absorption spectroscopy. Samples were then sent to SGS Lakefield, ON,

laboratory for multi-element analysis using multi-acid digestion and Inductively Coupled Plasma

Emission Mass Spectrometry. Laboratory procedures are appended in Appendix A. Analytical

results were compiled by Monique Ruhl and Rob McEwan of Tri Origin. Core from the program

was stacked and temporarily stored in Cochrane, ON. Drilling was supervised by Monique Ruhl

and Rob McEwan from Tri Origin Exploration Ltd.

Diamond drill hole logs are attached as Appendix B, drill sections are attach as Appendix

C, original geochemical certificates of analysis are attached as Appendix D, and geochemical

results are tabulated in Appendix E. Details and results of each drill hole are summarized and

presented below.

DIAMOND DRILL HOLE NA18-01

NA18-01 was collared west of the main Road Gold zone trench. Drilling began

September 26th and was completed on October 4th. Preliminary logging was completed between

September 27th and October 10th by M Ruhl and R McEwan of Tri Origin Exploration Ltd. NA18-

01 was drilled for 464 meters. Water was pumped from the largest trench.

Target

NA18-01 was drilled to trace the extent and continuity of anomalous gold samples taken

from the Road Gold zone trench and anomalous drill core samples from historic Newmont drill

holes. These samples were taken close to the contact between mafic and felsic rocks. The

primary target was centered at 5482200 meters north on L3600 and at approximately 400m

depth. NA18-01 was collared north of the target.

Geology Log Summary

NA18-01 intersected bedrock at 5m in mafic metavolcanic rocks. The upper 331 meters

was a sequence of mafic metavolcanic rocks. This rock unit consisted of interbedded amphibole

metabasalts and tuffs. Contacts between flows and tuffs were gradual. The amphibole

metabasalt was a distinct unit characterized by medium grained green-black prismatic

amphibole phenocrysts in a fine to medium grained chloritic matrix. Tuffaceous units included

well foliated ash tuffs, a small section of lapilli tuff from 218 to 222 meters depth and a distinct

garnet-bearing tuff. The bottom of the mafic metavolcanic sequence, from 323 to 331, consisted

of iron-carbonate rich volcaniclastic rock also observed at surface in the trench. Sulphide

content of the rock was generally low, with only local sections of 1-3% disseminated py/po over

a maximum width of 6 meters and a few sulphide-bearing quartz-veins. Sulphide content

appeared to increase with depth. Foliation measurements from 5 to 174m depth were on

average 55° to the core axis (TCA). From 174 to 331m foliation measurements steepened to an

average of 64° TCA.

From 331 to 411.6m NA18-01 intersected a sequence of interbedded felsic banded tuffs

and a porphyritic crystal tuff with gradual contacts. The felsic tuff unit has previously been

described as ‘colour banded tuffs’. It is characterized by fine-grained, laminated, green and red

to pink bands. Compositional banding measurements were measured between 55-58° TCA.

Sericite and salmon-coloured alteration was observed between 339.5 and 367 meters depth.

The crystal tuff consists of light grey, 2mm, phenocrysts in a fine grained dark grey matrix.

The last 53m of the hole consisted of compositional banded intermediate volcanic flows.

There was a sharp contact between the overlying felsic tuffs to the intermediate volcanics. This

unit is characterized by alternating bands of light and dark grey fine grained material and is well-

foliated. Foliation measurements after 425 meters ranged from 44-47° TCA.

On average, 3-5% disseminated euhedral pyrite was observed between 339.5 and 347

meters depth in the colour banded tuff unit, with sections of up to 10%. This unit and

mineralization signature correlates along strike and dip with the targeted mafic-felsic boundary

described in historic drill logs. This target was hit sooner than expected, indicating that an

Page 17: accessible customer service. contact us. l’accessibilité ... · Tri Origin’s North Abitibi property is located in Hoblitzell Township, Larder Lake Mining Division, approximately

13

assume dip of 70° is likely too steep. The approximate dip of the contact between mafic and a

felsic unit is likely closer to 60°.

Assay samples from NA18-01 returned Au values below 1 ppb in the interbedded

amphibole metabasalts and tuffs. An increase in Au values was observed at the transition to

felsic banded tuff unit at approximately 339m depth. Most notably, sample 522039 returned a

Au value of 1.45 g/t from 343 and 344 meters. Samples 522035, 522036, and 522040 were also

taken from the colour banded tuff between 339.5 and 345 meters depth. They returned Au

values of 454, 274, and 216 ppb, over 1 meter intervals. Au values from 345 meters to the end

of the hole are low and comparable to the first 339 meters.

DIAMOND DRILL HOLE NA18-02

NA18-02 was collared north and east of the Road Gold zone trench. Drilling began

October 8th and was completed on October 19th. Preliminary logging was completed between

October 10th and October 21st by M Ruhl and R McEwan of Tri Origin Exploration Ltd. NA18-02

was drilled for 470 meters. Water was pumped from the west side of the Tomlinson Road, with

the water line crossing the road.

Target

NA18-02 was drilled to trace the extent and continuity of lithological contacts and the

high gold abundance near the stratigraphic footwall of the Road Gold zone indicated from

historic Newmont drill holes. Based on IP survey results, the primary target was centered at

5482200 meters north on L3700 and at approximately 350m depth. NA18-02 was collared to

intersect the footwall of the Road Gold zone at approximately 350 to 400m downhole, assuming

a 70° north dip.

Geology Log Summary

NA18-02 went through 19 meters of overburden, indicating an overburden depth of 17.1

meters, with a drill hole inclination of -64°. The upper 270 meters of the hole consists of mafic to

intermediate tuffs and volcaniclastic sediments, as well as flows. Mafic to intermediate tuffs

capped the first 39 meters after overburden. A massive crystal tuff unit with tightly packed

medium to coarse grained quartz and pale pink feldspar phenocrysts in finer grained black

matrix is interbedded with the mafic flows. The volcaniclastic sediments are characterized by

very fine grained alternating purple-brown and chlorite-rich beds. The sediments are

interbedded with finely laminated ash tuffs with minor garnet phenocrysts. Intermediate volcanic

flows consist of fine grained, pale grey compositionally banded flows. Banding was measured at

36° TCA. The amphibole metabasalt observed in NA18-01 was intersected between 110 to 140

and 205 to 260 meters in NA18-02. There was nil to trace sulphide mineralization within these

units. Foliation within these units was measured between 45 and 56° TCA.

From 270 meters to the end of the hole at 470 meters, the rock consisted of felsic

metavolcanic tuffs and flows. The northern part of this unit was characterized by the presence of

large lapilli fragments. From 270 to 293 meters the core consists of fine grained alternating light

grey/blue and pale green bands with subangular, elongated heterolithic clasts throughout.

Clasts range from <5mm to 70mm wide. There are minor cherty fragments throughout, as well

Page 18: accessible customer service. contact us. l’accessibilité ... · Tri Origin’s North Abitibi property is located in Hoblitzell Township, Larder Lake Mining Division, approximately

14

as clasts of massive sulphide from 313.8 to 323 meters depth. The lapilli tuff correlates to the

unit observed at surface in the Road Gold zone trenches. From 270 to 279.5 meters this unit

contained 3-5% disseminated py/po and 5% of sulphide along quartzo-feldspathic vein

boundaries. This mineralization correlates to that recorded in historic Newmount drill holes and

in NA-07-02 drilled by Tri Origin in 2007. This unit was intersected sooner in the core than

expected indicating a shallower dip to rock units than was measured at surface.

From 270 to 460 meters there are distinct tuffaceous units characterized by medium

grained pale red-pink, magnetic garnet phenocrysts within fine grained black matrix. Contacts of

the garnet tuff unit were 62° TCA on average. From 460 to the end of the hole, the core is dark

pink in colour. This felsic unit looks more similar to the felsic colour banded flows observed in

NA18-01.

All NA18-02 samples within crystal tuffs, ash tuffs and compositionally banded flows

from 29 to 200 meters depth returned Au values below 100 ppb. Sample 522180 returned a

value of 769 ppb Au from 200 to 201 meters within volcaniclastic sediments. The Road Gold

zone occurred within felsic ash and lapilli tuff a few meters after the mafic volcanic contact at

270 meters downhole. Sample 522185 returned a value of 1.5 g/t Au from 278 to 279 meters

depth. The lapilli tuff unit also included quartz vein rich intervals with samples returning 2.4, 1.4,

and 1.7 g/t Au between 280 and 285 meters depth.

DIAMOND DRILL HOLE NA18-03

NA18-03 was collared approximately 1km north of NA18-01 and NA18-02, at the

western extent of the Spade Lake zone. Drilling began October 23rd and was completed on

October 29th. Preliminary logging was completed between October 24th and Nov 3rd by M Ruhl

and R McEwan of Tri Origin Exploration Ltd. NA18-03 was drilled for 454 meters. Water was

pumped from a north-south running creek that crosses the road.

Target

NA18-03 was drilled to trace the extent and continuity downdip of anomalous gold

assayed in drill core samples from historic Cogema drill holes within the Spade Lake zone. An

IP anomaly was indicated from deep IP survey results, centered at 5483250 meters at surface

on L3600. NA18-03 was collared north of Spade Lake zone to target the downdip extent of the

IP anomaly at approximately 400m downhole, assuming a 70° north dip.

Geology Log Summary

NA18-03 went through 18 meters of overburden, indicating an overburden depth of 16.3

meters, with a drill hole inclination of -65°. From 18 to 209 meters the hole was dominated by a

distinct unit of medium to coarse grained white, subhedral feldspar and grey quartz crystals in a

fine grained dark grey matrix. This unit is classified as feldspar crystal tuff and can be correlated

to previous Tri Origin drill logs, as well as historic logs. This section of core also intersected

amphibole metabasalt and finely laminated volcaniclastic sediments. These units contained nil

to trace sulphides.

From 209 to 339 meters, NA18-03 intersected sulphidic ash tuffs with minor intrusions of

the Spade Lake Porphyry. Sericite alteration and blue quartz occurred between 236 and 239

meters depth. A 30 meter continuous section with 3-5% sulphide content occurred from 239 to

269 meters. Sulphide grains were elongated parallel to foliation and in places range up to 10%

of the rock. Foliation was measured between 50 and 60° TCA. From 269 to 284 meters the tuff

contained pale pink, magnetic garnet phenocrysts and nil sulphides. Sulphidic ash tuff continues

after the garnet-rich section, from 284 to 339.3 meters.

The last 115 meters, from 339 to 454 meters, of NA18-03 was dominated by the Spade

Lake Porphyry. The porphyry is characterized by 30-40% medium-coarse grained plagioclase

and quartz phenocrysts in a finer-grained felsic matrix. The unit appeared poorly mineralized

with only occasional weak disseminations of pyrite and minor coarse chalcopyrite clots

associated with the occasional quartz-carbonate veins that cut the unit locally. Towards the end

of the hole the texture of the porphyry transitioned from a quartz-feldspar porphyritic texture to a

red-coloured intrusion with more tightly packed crystals. It is difficult to determine whether the

tightly-packed crystal porphyry intruded adjacent layers of ash tuff as dykes, sills or is crystal

lithic tuff deposited contemporaneously with the tuff layers. There are two intervals less than 10

meters wide with sharp contacts, of ash tuff between 339 meters and the end of the hole which

may represent crystal lithic tuffs.

21 assay samples were taken over the first 239 meters of NA18-03, within white feldspar

crystal tuff units, interbedded amphibole metabasalt and volcaniclastic sediment units, and the

foliated ash tuff unit. All samples within these units contained less than 100 ppb Au. A 53 meter

section from 239 to 292 meters was sampled over 1 meter intervals. The average grade of the

entire ash unit was 147 ppb Au. A comparable average Au content of 120 ppb was returned for

the ash tuff unit from 403.5 to 411 meters within the Spade Lake Porphyry. Quartz veining within

the Spade Lake porphyry from 389.3 to 390 meters returned a single gold assay of 7.8 g/t.

GEOCHEMICAL SUMMARY OVERVIEW

191 samples of drill core were analyzed for gold, and 80 of those were additionally

analyzed for multi-element suite of 49 elements. Of these, 47 samples were analyzed from

NA18-01, 36 from NA18-02, and 108 from NA18-03. Appendix D contains original geochemical

certificates of analysis. Refer to table in Appendix E for a compilation of all gold and multi-

element assay results.

Table 4 lists significant assay results of Au, Ag, Cu, Ni, Cr, As, Zn, Fe, and S. Significant

results were selected based on a preliminary analysis of the spread of data. Additional statistical

analysis is required. Column headings outline the element being analyzed, the unit, and the

detection limit. The table was condensed based on the following criteria, Au ≥ 250 ppb; Ag ≥ 20

ppm; As ≥ 50 ppm; Cu, Ni, Cr, and Zn ≥ 1000 ppm; Fe ≥ 10%; and S ≥ 1%. Upper detection

limits for Zn, Fe, and S are 10 000 ppm, 15%, and 5%, respectively.

NA18-01 returned a maximum assay value of 1450 ppb Au across a 1 metre interval

within a 5.5 metre thick interval of pyritic and sericite-altered rock which averaged 420 ppb Au

starting at 339.5 metres downhole. NA18-02 reported assay values of 1505 ppb Au, 1408 ppb,

Page 20: accessible customer service. contact us. l’accessibilité ... · Tri Origin’s North Abitibi property is located in Hoblitzell Township, Larder Lake Mining Division, approximately

16

and 1668 ppb across 1 metre intervals and 2354 ppb from 0.5 wide quartz vein sample within a

7 metre section of core averaging 890 ppb of gold from 278 metres downhole. NA18-03

intersected thick intervals of pyritic and weakly altered rock anomalous in gold abundance. A 53

metre section averaged 150 ppb Au from 239 metres downhole followed by a 16.9 metre

section averaging 120 ppb Au from 318.6 metres downhole. A single high assay of 7833 ppb Au

across 0.7 metres was returned from a quartz vein sample taken at 389.3 metres downhole.

The intervals of sulphidic ash tuff in NA18-03 returned the most notable concentrations

of trace elements. This unit reported values of greater than 900 ppm Cu across 1 metre

intervals from 257 to 259, 275 to 279, and 327to 337 metres downhole. Additionally values of

greater than 500 ppm Zn were reported from approximately 327 to 337 metres downhole, with a

single sample of 1753 ppm Zn from 335 to 335.5 metres. Two samples collected between 246

and 335.5m returned greater than 6 ppm Ag. Sulphur concentrations above the upper detection

limit were also returned from 247 to 331 metres downhole within the sulphidic ash, as well as

values greater than 8% Fe. All drill holes reported negligible values of Ni, Cr, Pb, and As.

DRILL SITE COMPLETION

All drill holes were successfully drilled to planned depth, and along planned azimuth and

dip, despite technical difficulties. The Translimit Road was washed out for one week, restricting

all access to and from the drill site. The program encountered multiple equipment failures, at

times with the drill broken down for a few days in a row. Freeze-thaw conditions were harsh on

the condition of the Tomlinson Road and during the program the road was unmaintained by the

forestry company. Ultimately the abnormal wet and cold fall weather ended the drill program

earlier than expected.

All casing was removed from the drill holes upon completion of drilling in a manner such

that overburden material would collapse into the hole. All sites were restored back to clean

condition to minimize any impacts on the surrounding environment.

CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

Targets were successfully intersected but shallower than the predicted and anticipated

depth. The targeted IP anomalies were confirmed to be the result of auriferous, pyritic rock.

Comparison of historic and current drill results with IP pseudosections indicates that sulphidic

rock extends further down-dip and the stronger parts of IP response are below the depth of

current drilling.

Lithological targets at the Road Gold zone were traced from historic drill holes to NA18-

01. The geologic character of sulphidic, laminated, siliceous ash with minor quartz-sulphide

veins was intersected and confirmed in NA18-01. Au values were lower than expected

compared to historic drill hole intersections located approximately 200m to the east and 150m

up dip. This may limit a westward plunge to the zone.

The expected geological character of the Road Gold zone was not as apparent in NA18-

02. Although significant Au abundance occurred at the same stratigraphic position, alteration in

the form of silica, pyrite, and sericite was less abundant. The other main difference in NA18-02

was the occurrence of an approximately 50m thick sequence of coarse lapilli-bearing fragmental

rock at and immediately south of the expected location of the zone. The effect of this increase in

the thickness of the local stratigraphic sequence on the gold zone is not understood. The mafic

volcanic-felsic volcanic contact which hosts the Road Zone further to the west was intersected

further to the north and further up hole than was expected. Interestingly, the anticipated

eastward projection of the Road Zone was closer to the location of massive sulphide lapilli in

felsic fragmental rock. The gold zone may extend eastward through the felsic fragmental unit

rather than near the mafic-felsic volcanic contact.

From NA18-03, it appears that presence of sulphide within the tuffaceous units at the

Spade Lake zone is laterally continuous; however Au assays returned lower values than

expected based on historic results. An unexpected 70m thick section of weakly pyritic and

weakly altered volcaniclastic rock, averaging over 100 ppb Au was intersected further up hole

than predicted. The expected target was a narrow interval of more pyritic, siliceous, and sericitic

rock. It appears that the gold zone has been diluted and thickened by abundant volcaniclastic

material.

Based on these conclusions the following recommendations are made:

More thorough understanding of structure in the area to better predict lithological

contacts, mineralization signatures, and IP traces at depth

Standardizing historic drill log units with current logs to produce 3D model of all drill

holes
